Amish country living with bunches of room for any size of rig or group. Every site is perfectly manicured. Gravel pads. I recommend the site away from the office, none are bad but you have grass and more "vacation" feel to it. No boulders, trees or poles to get in your way. Hook-ups are in the right place (amazing!). Picnic benches & fire pits at every site. Far enough off the main road so no road noise. They only accept Checks and Cash. However, the price is very reasonable. Come Sunday - Thursday. Best time for the RV camping and for seeing the sights. This entire area is crazy busy Thursday Friday and Saturdays. Perfect location in the middle of Amish country to see horse drawn buggies. RV park is located across from Troyer Market (HIGHLY recommend a stop in there). You are minutes from Millersburg, Dover, Walnut Creek, Charm and Sugar Creek. Visit Choblenz (outstanding chocolate), Keim Home Center (just stop in, you'll be amazed), Swiss Village Bulk Food ($4.99 for world famous Swiss cheese), and my list won't end if I don't stop now. Thank goodness we have a rig to put all our goodies to drive it all back home. UPDATE: We returned in July for a 2nd visit & found everything to be just as wonderful. The campgrounds were FULL but we did not feel crowded. I noticed all the sewer hook-ups have a giant rock in front of them. This prevents the neighbors from seeing exactly what's going through your sticky slinky when you empty your blackwater tanks. Gladiolas are planted along the backside where you will find your electric & water hook-ups. And I had forgotten to mention you will have free unlimited firewood. Just bring your lighter.

Scenic Hills RV Park is located in Berlin, Ohio, the oldest existing village in Holmes County, which is also the location of Ohio's largest Amish community as well as delightful shopping. The RV Park is family-owned and well maintained. Upon arrival, we stopped at the office to check in and settle up. We received our map, rules, and additional area information. Very pleasant and helpful folks in the office. We proceeded to our site, "I", a back-in gravel full hookup 50 amp site with surrounding grass, a picnic table, and a fire ring. The grass at this campground is gorgeous...some of the best looking we have seen at any park we have visited. The park has a couple gazebos for gatherings, free firewood available, a community room, and a laundry facility with two washers at $1.50 per 30 minute cycle and two dryers at 25 center per eight minutes. Very clean and efficient equipment. Pets welcome with typical rules.

This review is based on the 'back' (lower) section of the park. It is far better than the main area which isn't much more than a gravel parking lot. The back section is all gravel and level pull-thru sites that can accommodate most any RV. This section has well manicured grass between all the sites. The lower area exit might be a bit of a challenge for large Class A towing a vehicle. Better to hook-up in the main (upper) section. Between the two sections is a very nice and large grassy area for dogs to walk/play. The lots are well spaced and all have a fire ring and picnic table. One interesting thing we have never seen before - The management has several large piles of wood throughout the campground for campers to freely use for fires at their site. All the staff that we met were very friendly and willing to help with any problems that you might have. We will definitely come back.

Cash or checks are accepted here-NO CREDIT CARDS. This is a great RV park, and we will definitely return at some point. The aesthetics of the grounds are impeccable. It is strongly evident that the employees who serve this business take a great deal of pride in their jobs. The grass is beautifully manicured. The stone-scaping is well-maintained. The laundromat is open 24/7. This place is centrally located to a lot of the attractions like the theaters, markets, open-air stores, museums, and furniture stores. Bordering the RV park are farm animals like horses, cows, and chickens, and goats. It’s very peaceful here. FREE, kiln-dried hardwood scraps are available for the campfires. There is barely a smoky smell from the fire rings. The professional excavation has created loops at different elevations that create an insulated feeling. The pine trees that border these loops add to the feeling of privacy. Overall, staying here has proven to be a...
