Website says light usage and little shade. We arrived on a Friday at 3p, and had to hustle for a site but found a great one in the camper loop (there are two loop, seemingly designated, but not a rule, more so about the parking pads). Shade was actually better than we'd expected, but still somewhat exposed - this, due to the growing trees, (local campground area looked to be burned maybe 30y ago) meant the views of the uplake peaks were obscured, but downlake peaks were right there.. Overall great cg. No firewood to be purchased, but plenty to be found, dead and downed. Road in is rough, mostly in the first half (heading in). Plenty of washboard but mostly non-graded rocky surfaces - I don't think it's 4x required, but pretty bumpy. Lots of folks talked of 10mph, but us in the Tundra could do 30mph (drive it like you stole it:) and so it can be done in less time. Old camper or 5th wheel, you'll take it very...

We really appreciated and enjoyed the camp hosts. They're personable and observant without being overly intrusive. The campsites were designed to be level for the camper itself with oodles of space between each designated site. A nice fire pit and a so-so table we're at each site as well. They really should put some money into the tables. The views are spectacular! Now for the big drawback. The last 23 miles of dirt/rock road will prevent us from wanting to go there again. I've grown up in rural dirt road areas and this road seemed to be intentional neglect. It took us 1.5 hours pulling our camper to go the 23 miles. It shook bolts loose everywhere on the camper including the floor underneath. I'm glad we hiked to the Upper Green River Lake and spent time canoeing, but we won't go there with out...

Stunning views and a great recreational area, but the the dirt part of the road is horrible. (The last 18 miles.) Nothing but wash boards and very rocky. The Forest Service website says the campground gets "light use". When we arrived, on a Tuesday, early afternoon, the place was packed. As was every turnout, pull-off and wide spot along the road. We did find a nice place to camp just off the road, but we listened to every vehicle rattle as they went by. And there was lots of traffic. We'll find a quieter, less trampled spot for our next...

Very majestic scenery and remote campground. Grounds are nice for how remote they are. This campground is very remote and the road leading to it was rocky and heavily washboarded for 18 miles. We were only able to go 10 to 15 mph so it was a long bumpy ride. We pulled a camp trailer and were surprised that our camper wasn't damaged. Tie down your stuff on the road! We went midweek and had no problem getting a camp spot.

Awesome campground, albeit the road in is a bit tricky if you don't have a decent vehicle. I've done it in low clearance 2wd and high clearance 4wd and the difference is 20min drive vs 1:20 drive. Campsites are all furnished with bear boxes, picnic tables, and fire rings. There are water spigots and bathrooms placed throughout the campsite loops.

Beautiful campground with a lot of privacy for tent sites. Reasonably quiet. About an hour of dirt road to get there which gets pretty bad in some spots. Was there on a Thursday in August and it was half empty! Water on site, no showers, vault toilets (very clean)
