Rodeway Inn & Suites Dublin — Hotel in East Dublin

I've been staying at this hotel for over 2 months with constant concerns taken to the owners during my multiple stays. To no avail, nothing happens, I always get, "I will get it handled." Never "handles" issues. They're people fighting in the parking lots at 2 am in the morning. People smoking weed in the rooms on the smoking side, noise at 3am in the morning to the point where you can't sleep. My rooms are booked through Choice Hotel, so I use my points alot of the times from my money well spent. Check out time is at 11 ( and they're not honoring or accommodating Choice Hotels elite members where you can have late check outs) and I left the hotel at 8 am one particular morning and went back to the hotel at 9:30am after eating breakfast with plans to sleep in until checkout time and there was a male housekeeper in the room. He assumed we were checked out and he was in the process of "fanning" the sheets, not removing them for the next guest, but "fanning" debris off of the sheets, proceeding to make up the bed with the sheets that we slept on the night before, for the following guest to sleep on. When I reported it to the owner his response was, "well he thought that you were staying and we don't change the sheets for our guests that stay more than one night." Mind you, we were checking out that day. In my mind, you don't change the sheets at all for any of your guests now that I've witnessed this. There have been times where there is pubic hairs in the beds and tubs and we have the wife of the owner to come down and clean the room and change the sheets after all the housekeeping has left for the day, just so they can see with they're own eyes that there staff aren't doing there jobs, and she agreed with me in this instant that the staff aren't doing what they are paying them to do. So, choice Hotels asked for my review and I gave it and received a call from the owner asking why I left the review I left. My response was because I came to you with my concerns and you didn't handle them. I went back to reserve a room with the thoughts that my review would have changed the scenario or make the owners hold the housekeeping accountable for their actions, I check into the same room, non smoking, and found a dried used washcloth hanging up on the shower rod and the room wreaked of the scent of marijuana. Went to the desk with the rag and concerns and he said that "scent was probably coming from the outside." Never acknowledged the fact that a used dried washcloth was discovered. But we are on the non smoking side. We checked out and made another reservation and they gave me a call and stated that, "You are no longer welcomed to the property, so you need to cancel your reservation and call corporate of choice hotels and let them tell you why you're no longer welcomed." So I proceed to call choice and spoke with representative explaining all of the above and was informed that they stated we were no longer welcomed to the property because of " my review on choice hotels site and that I had broken a tv ." WOW! I was appalled that they went to this extent as to lie on me and defame my character in such a way! So as I called the owner back I had choice hotels representative on the phone as well and had her listen as I asked them was a tv broken and they denied the claim, using profane language, yelling and screaming to the top of his lungs, using racial slur, without them knowing I had the representative listening. I'm no longer welcomed to the property as a retaliatory tactic because of telling the truth on the review.So I'm saying all of these things to say this, DO NOT BOOK ANY ROOMS HERE, they are non accommodating and not honoring Choice Hotels elite members. And they are absolutely FILTHY. When we stay we bring out own chemicals and clean our rooms ourselves during our stay at this hotel. Which...

The room I received, I was very upset with. The AC/AIR unit didn't work. Maintenance came to check it....STILL DIDN'T WORK! It just blew outside air. This is GEORGIA...IT GETS HOT. The floor was dirty as hell. I cleaned it myself. The room had an adjoining door, the locks broken so who knows if ppl can gain entry. Only ONE light worked. The tall corner light, the button is broke off. AND, their was some sorta chemicals on the floors, walls, and curtains. I will be requesting a new room immediately. Oh, and as of this time, Maintenance has yet to come back to check the Air Unit. But I will say, the ladies at the front desk where truly AMAZING. BUT, HOUSE KEEPING...NOT IMPRESSED. They knocked on my door EVERY MORNING at like 7-8AM, wake me up, just to ask if I need service. Who wakes ppl up that early for anything while staying at a hotel. I will be switching rooms, and if not, I will go to the Fairfield instead. As you can tell by the photos, that towel in the middle is so dirty and that was just from wiping some spots down in the bathroom. And you can tell the lights are broken. UPDATE : maintenance came twice today said they would come back to fix the air and lights, also said they let the front desk know. I went to the front desk to change rooms, and they kept giving me the runaround. The guy said that he needed to come check my room, to make sure stuff isn't right before it changes my room. I said I'm not wasting my time to go to the room, come back to the office to get keys, go back to the room, get my stuff and go to another room. That's just wasting my time. And your employees have already checked the room twice now. So now you are just wasting my time and trying to divert me from going to another room. He continued to try and sidestep me going to another room, that's when two gentlemen came into the lobby and I told them they did not want to stay here because there was broken stuff in the rooms. Very irate and came from around the glass to tell me to get off his property or he was calling the cops. So apparently if you complain about broken stuff in your room, they try to sidestep you, and if you do anything about it they tell you to get off their property and they'll call the cops. I have to be completely honest, they deserve a negative one star just for not updating photos on there site. The room was non smoking, smelt old and wet. Stains on linen, towels and comforters has burn holes in them. The tube was black and the shower head just as bad. You ask the very slow and uncomfortable lady at the front desk a question and you have to repeat yourself multiple times. They also have this sweat box area to check in. 3 people in a double queen room with 2 towels and when you ask for a towel I was told the hotel(motel) was full and they had none. The next morning/noon I asked the maid and the same response no towels because the hotel is full. The area where the ice machine was is completely disgusting and scary. For a pet friendly/ service animal stay with you there is no dog area or grass! Also no curtains. Lamp didn't work so everyone walking by can see in your room.

UPDATE TO THE RESPONSE YES I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE ROOM BEFORE I BOOKED. I ALSO TOLD THE VERY SLOW WORKER WHO NEVER SAID I COULD COME AROUND THAT IT WAS EXTREMELY HOT IN YOUR QUOTE "NIGHT WINDOW". I ALSO TOLD HER THIS WAS OUR BEST AND ONLY OPTION SINCE THE NEXT AVAILABLE HOTEL WAS A HOUR AWAY. BUT THOSE PHOTOS DONT LIE SO YOU CAN BLAME ME FOR GIVE YOU MY MONEY. I ASKED FOR TOWELS ON THE FIRST AND SECOND NIGHT BECAUSE THERE WAS 3 OF US WITH 2 TOWELS. I WAS GIVEN TWO TOWELS AND TOLD THE HOTEL IS FULL THEY DONT HAVE ANY "QUOTE"! THE GRASS IS MOSTLY ANT MOUNDS AND CIGARETTE BUTTS! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD COME ON HER AND BLAME THE GUEST THAT PAID YOU. TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT YOU ESTABLISHMENT! ITS NOT UP TO THOSES PHOTOS YOU HAVE ADVERTISING AND THE ROOMS SMELL. YOU HAVE A CAMERA IN THE HALL CHECK FOR US WITH THE HUGE CAN OF LYSOL SPRAYING OUT THE ROOMS! ALL 3 ROOMS!
