Food World — Local services in East Dublin

Extremely overpriced. Smells repulsive. And poor maintenance. This place... should not be here. Almost everything is expired. My wife had told me numerous times, but it took me experiencing it first-hand to know. It is one thing to say, "you didnt check the expiration date", it is another to have a sandwich front facing from your deli... from over four f*ing months ago. I bought it a couple days ago, and the day after I bought it, I went to work, opened up the wrapper, and nearly vomited. How disgusting and lazy do you have to be? I went back there to tell them what happened, I wanted people to know, and I wanted my money back for the whole purchase, not just the sandwich. You know what I got from the "grocery manager"? "I don't have the power to do that, but you can take another sandwich". Wanna know what the deli clerk said? "I just got those fresh frozen the other day. You should've checked the expiration date! I cleaned that area yesterday", um, no, you didn't, and how DARE you. A green sandwich, and you're going to blame me? That area was RE-STOCKED. You FRONT FACED the sandwich. This happens too often. My co-workers have said so, and my wife has purchased expired/spoiled: bagged cheese, starbucks 4-pack, meats, fruit, and a fing JELL-O cup pack. How do you let s get so bad? And no refund? Wow.

DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY.

I know this is a small town grocery store, but we can do better. A lot of the prices are a little too high. It's hard to get help in the meat department unless a certain gentleman is working. (Idk his name, sorry.) One time, I asked to have a pork loin cut into chops and this one guy told us that they normally don't cut them when they are on sale. My wife and I had to open their door and step inside the department to get someone's attention in the first place. I have NEVER been told by ANY store that I couldn't have anything cut, because it was on sale. This was done by the Caucasian man, that works back there. He eventually agreed to cut it, after we told him that the other gentleman always cuts meat for us, no matter what the price. Some of the cashiers can be quite rude as well. I have my favorites and I am always disappointed if they aren't working. Now for the most part, I don't stop unless it's for a quick trip or they have a good sale on certain items...

I love the deli it's fresh and delicious I like how all the employees are dedicated to their job always happy and ready to serve their customers I love the produce area also I like how they have the collards Green already cut up in a bag for young people who don't know how to cut them I think it's Merrell farm or jks something like that but I like how this store has been servicing our community for so at least since 35 years as I've been here on earth my mother and father always shopped here as I was growing up and me and my family will continue also as a family tradition thanks piggy wiggly/...
