Cave Hill Resort — Hotel in East Haddam

Yesterday my brokerage (Keller Williams Legacy Partners, CT) had our annual Summer Bash BBQ at Cave Hill Resort and I hope that we have it there again next year!! CHR is celebrating its 104 years of success and is one of the last remaining resorts of its kind!! (It reminds me of Dirty Dancing, back in an era when families “summered” at resorts. It may actually be the only remaining resort like this in CT!) This resort had all of the amenities necessary to provide for a fun filled day, and certainly for longer as we didn’t have enough time to take advantage of all of the fun activities availability!! I definitely plan to return with my family and will take advantage of everything! Every person in the family will find something they like to do … you can read a book down by the pond, or hike to the little cave in the hill, or play some table tennis, or go for a swim … there are so many wonderful options and best of all no tv’s and the WiFi is iffy!! Which for me and my family is what we prefer .. to unplug with technology and plug into quality family time! Did I mention that this is a family owned and operated resort?? Which is my jam … supporting local M&P businesses! Another bonus to staying at CHR is they provide a yummy home cooked breakfast AND dinner!! Just another reason why this gem is on the top of my list for family weekend getaways and a potential wedding venue!!!!

*Only two drawbacks I noted were; no dogs allowed and not much storage in the cabins very basic think glamping … these are NOT big enough deterrents for keep us from...

Right from the initial contact JoAnn was prompt with all of her replies, getting us all the information we needed. She booked us a site visit and personally showed us around the grounds. She worked with us to coordinate logistics, made vendor recommendations, and was truly a partner in the planning process.

On the day of the event, JoAnn greeted us the second we pulled in and made sure we had everything we needed. The entire venue was in pristine condition. The lawn was freshly mowed, the pool was spotless, the bathrooms and changing rooms were perfectly clean. JoAnn and her team thought of every detail to make sure our event was special.

Absolutely by far the best place to take your family for a little summer vacation! Whether you live far away or close by you will always feel at home here. With so much to do, from playing every outdoor sport imaginable to climbing the trails to the Beautiful historic caves you will always have an amazing time at Cave Hill. You can relax by the pool all day and bask in the sun, while your family stays busy with so much to do. Did I mention they have karaoke nights too. What a great time we had singing our favorite songs while having some drinks and not having to worry about having to drive anywhere after. You also get to enjoy there Delicious home cooked meals.
