They're lucky they get 2 stars. I couldnt wait to review this hotel! The rooms were clean and the check in staff was wonderful. That's about it for anything good. I was in Pennsylvania for my best friends wedding, we checked into the hotel to get ready for rehersal. The bride and groom got a large suite that, as I said was clean, but it smelled like burning rubber, we contacted the front desk and they sent up a maid who sprayed a bunch of febreeze to mask the smell. That lasted about 5minutes until it smelled horribly again so we called again. They promptly sent someone up to see what they could do, come to find out the AC unit was broken because it started leaking, right in front of the door so anyone who came in got wet, real classy before rehersal in our evening wear. We complained and after watching the bride cry we finally got another suite for them. None of the rooms have safes by the way so we were paranoid to leave the rings in the room especially with people coming in and out to fix things. Next, after our rehersal we went back to the hotel and our whole wedding party was in one room trying to figure out a plan for cars and what not for the big day, we weren't being out of control just 10 people talking. We were told we couldnt be in the room any longer as we were being too loud and that we had to go to the bar if we wanted to be loud. My roommates and I, the 3 people that owned the room went back to our room, a separate room, seperate floor, and were watching TV giggling over some inside jokes, when we got a knock on the door that we were being too loud again. We gave the lady a funny look and said "it's only the 3 of us", which she advised we go to the bar again, I said "no we're going to bed this is our room we're staying" and she told us they had called up 3 times and this was the 3rd time they had visited to tell us to be quiet, LIES! We had been in the room maybe 10mins not a single phone call or knock. As we are explaining this another hotel employee walks by and shushed us! Its maybe 11pm at this point so I get being quite but come on! The next evening was no different, we were all excited to get undressed from our gowns and tuxes so we rushed to our rooms with plans to go to the bar and didnt even get that far! Once again she lied and said we had been warned 3 times and that this time the police are on their way. I answered the door holding my dress on, we had been in the room long enough for someone to unzip me! We were supposed to be in a wedding block, which meant that the entire bridal party was supposed to be on the 3rd floor so we could be fairly loud if we wanted to. They messed up and put half our bridal party on the 1st floor and the others on the 3rd. We found out that there was another bridal party on our floor as well. The rudeness of the employees was appalling! We weren't being THAT loud that police needed to be called, we also never saw proof of that so they basically just lied the whole weekend. The bar over charged for drinks, $7 beer. Breakfast on our final morning was delicious but we were all ready to leave by then. Just beware if you're there for a wedding of any sort they will lie and treat you like toddlers on a playground no matter how respectful of adults youre being. Shushing you for saying goodbye to friends in the lobby...
Read moreI regret to report that this establishment is not worth your time or money. Unfortunately, the whole place is dingy and rundown and absolutely does not justify a price tag at all— much less a higher price than the Hampton next door.||In the room, there were multiple ants crawling about, peeling wallpaper, stained carpets, stained walls, and chipped paint. Not a chair in the building—from the lobby to my room—was free of stains. The windows in the hallway and my room were loose and drafty, and you can very clearly hear the highway outside— I’m glad it only got down into the 50s overnight. There was dust all across the room, indicating they only gave a light clean. Thankfully, the bed appeared mostly clean and was comfortable. The drains in the sink, toilet, and shower were slow to drain, the water pressure in the shower was quite weak, and the vent in the bathroom didn’t work.||The halls are dark and foreboding, with dim lights and dark brown wallpaper that make you feel like you’re in The Shining. The lobby felt deserted at 7:30 PM; the bar was technically open, but there was no bartender. The restaurant, which they said was open, was not— the doors were locked, but the lights were on in the empty dining rooms. I walked around the patio to the exterior seating area and was appalled; there were chairs strewn about, a literal open trash bag that looked like someone had just given up in the middle of their cleaning job, and more dingy, stained, and torn furniture. I sat at the bar for about five minutes, but when no one greeted me or came out to ask what I wanted, I walked across the street to the Outback Steakhouse for dinner. While at Outback, I ran into a regular patron of the Sheraton, and he said it’s been like this for as long as he can remember, but so long as you overlook the obvious disrepair and wipe everything down yourself, you barely notice it. But hey, at least it’s got a bar, unlike the Hampton!||The manager, who was pleasant enough in his interaction with me, had a single AirPod in, and I’d obviously interrupted him from playing a game on his phone— he also had an AirPod in every time I walked through the lobby, and was mostly sitting in a lobby chair looking at his phone. I was extremely surprised that a person whose career was hospitality would so obviously be disconnected from his guests. The handle on the fitness center door was loose and rattled about, and everything in the fitness center and pool area felt dingy. The Sheraton Lounge— for which I paid extra to get a room with lounge access— was inexplicably closed. They attempted to make up for the closure by giving me two bottles of water and some snacks (Kind bars and cookies), but no reimbursement of the extra charge I paid for the room.||Overall, I was thoroughly and completely disappointed. The pictures online simply do not do justice to the general state of disrepair and lack of care and attention given to this hotel, and I cannot recommend a single aspect of this experience as worth paying for. I genuinely feel sorry for the staff that has to work at a place where the management obviously...
