I was staying here for nearly 2 weeks as I had to work and my family had to self-quarantine because of someone returning home internationally. The non-smoking room was a decent size for 1 person and had the amenities I requested (a microwave and small fridge), and things seemed to be fine. However, there were issues that happened during my stay:
Thankfully, said maintenance person documented and filed a report about the incident to prove I wasn't at fault. I was moved to a nearby room for no additional charge, thankfully with more a more stable headboard and furniture.
I also experienced loud noise and disruption during my stay into the evenings and late into the night from other guests. While these weren't the staff's fault, it did take a while for someone to come up and confront the responsible party due to the minimal number of staff around during the evening. Lastly, the showers/bathtub were a bit too small for standing or sitting, but it was tolerable; also, the staff were friendly and understanding about the issues I had to deal with, but I'd prefer.
While this wasn't the worst stay I've ever had and certainly got what I paid for and needed, I'm not entirely certain I'll stay here again in the near future (even as I'm a local resident). My advice to anyone considering to stay here: check all the info you need to know with the front desk (ex. smoking or non-smoking, fees, etc.) prior to your stay, check to make sure all furniture, furnishings and appliances in your rooms are functional, safe and stable, and double-check the cleanliness of your...
Read more(There's an update) **My family of 5 stayed here from about 1am -11am April 19,2023. When we first checked in Andrew the overnight front desk person was amazing. We needed two rooms. The room that had the double beds were pretty good(where the children stayed), however the room with the queen/ king( my husband and I stayed), was smelly and outdated. My husband and I could barely breathe through the night it was as if we were having an allergy attack but because it was like 2 am and we carry allergy meds we figured we would deal with it in the morning. Also inside that same room, when my husband went to use the hotel face clothe it had a long string of hair in it. Due to the moldy smell and hair, we decided to check out early ( the same day like 11am instead of the next day the 20th) and we were driving from NYC bk home FL. The woman at the front desk (Ms.Albany) seemed to be frustrated due to another customer having a complaint in front of us but nonetheless she remained professional, seemily understanding and helpful in which she signed our check out receipt saying she we would not be charged full price for one of the rooms. She assured us she would get the information to her managers since she couldn't per say do the discount, right there. Now today is 4/27/23 and I have been calling , leaving voice messages for the managers to get back to me and of course NOTHING. The still charged us FULL price at that. I feel like they are ducking and dodging my calls which of course is frustrating because at the very least you can let me know something. Now I have spoken to Albany however she continues to say she let her managers know but that's her best. We are hoping that this Days Inn values its customers and gets back to us, please and thank you.
I hope whoever stays here , have a smooth stay better than we had.
**Update 5-3-23 The Manager Jordan has called me the same or next day from me writing this review and apologized as well as provided us with the discounts. I am truly grateful they value their customers enough to respond in a timely manner and correct things . For this reason alone, I WOULD GO BACK because I know they value their business and customers. Thank You Days Inn. (So I'll be adding a star since they have rectified...
Read moreStaff at the front desk are amazing, we needed a place to stay the night to go to "six flags great adventure" and every other place was full at 12am when we were calling. Not only was this hotel the cheapest but they were the only staff that ansered the phone with proper manners at midnight. The place was kinda spooky at night with the building exterior being so basic, but upon entering it was a nice and clean inviting atmosphere that you could find at other more expensive hotels in the area.
The room that we had gotten with two queen beds was up to standards for cleanliness aswell was the bathroom. The beds were well made and softer than I'm used to but very comfortable, I had saw an earlier review mention bugs so I checked every nook and could not find any evidence of any bugs whatsoever, l barely found dust. There where no fridges or microwaves in the rooms but the binder in my room stated that you could request one for a five dollar fee or both for ten.
The free breakfast was pretty lackluster consisting of your choice of coffe, tea, or juice with the addition of bread and prepackaged cereal so I just grabbed a cup of oj and headed to the vending machines. I purchased two "Starbucks doubleshot energy" drinks and they got stuck in the machine, I told the staff who was standing at the front desk that they were stuck. He went over to check if my claim was trustworthy in which he responded that it was unfortunate with a nice smile, he then gave me a refund for the drinks and told me if I can get the drinks unstuck I could keep the money. Sadly the machine was too heavy for me to rock to properly dislodge the drinks, so I just used my refund given to me by the hotel to purchase another which knocked the two drinks down and the most recent took their place.
Overall the experience at this hotel was great and was only made better thanks to the friendly staff which I don't get enough of because of my "lowlife" appearance. If your just looking for a nice place to rest and take a shower in the morning this is the place to be, if your looking for extras you might want look elsewhere but for me this was more than perfect.
Sorry for not taking photos before our arrival to further show...
