The staff is just wonderful. We were initially greeted by Anne-Marie, when we got in on a Saturday night at 3AM after an absolutely horrible experience at the Fairfield by Marriot in Bartonsville, PA. Yes, we drove all the way from the Poconos to the furthest reaches of Central Jersey at that hour .. AFTER having just driven back and forth twice from Mississippi in 48 hours. The East Windsor Hampton was THE ONLY vacancy in a 50 mile radius at that time. We were so lucky! We got the last spot. We kind of felt badly for the guy who showed up just 1-2 minutes behind us after enduring the same problem of no vacancies, only to find out that we got the last room. Like I said... we were SUPER lucky. There were no weird cleaning odors upon walking in, no moldy or musty smells, and it was extremely quiet (as a hotel should be at that hour...even though that isn't always the case). The breakfast is really delicious and as healthy as a hotel breakfast can be! The kitchen staff is very helpful as well. The scrambled eggs and western omelettes especially are great, and the coffee at the dining area/lobby is very good too. They even have a waffle station with the options of blueberry or vanilla + chocolate chips + whipped cream. I didn't have any, but my husband did and thought they were superb. The only small con about this hotel location was that I-95/NJ Turnpike is right off the edge of the property, and for some reason the sound barrier stops directly at the hotel border. However, all the pleasantries of this particular hotel truly make up for this. Honestly, I always bring a white-noise-maker with me everywhere I go because I'm such a fussy and light sleeper, plus I sleep with the heat/fan/a-c unit on, so that definitely helps block out a lot of noise. Maybe ask for a room furthest away from the interstate if it'll be a problem? But Helen, Anne-Marie, Alpa, Doris, and Marta (one of the housekeeping girls) are always friendly, very attentive, and have terrific personal interaction skills... so that makes up for the only con of the traffic noise. :-) The location to everything is ideal, and the cleanliness is above par. We are looking forward to staying...
Read moreIm unsure if this place just fell off in the last 6 months or people don’t care to write reviews. Initially, we were charged twice prior to arrival to this hotel and we called in and a receptionist was able to cancel one of the bookings but no explanation was given as to why that occurred. Besides that our first impression of the place was pretty good. The breakfast in the morning is the best selection and variety I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The rooms smelled and looked extremely clean and the room was exactly what we were looking for. After night one we realized we were missing a ton of hotel essentials and we had to ask for everything as we needed it and the maid was extremely rude from the initial greeting and on. Night 2, we decided to take a late night swim and as we returned to the hotel our eyes and skin were on fire… long and behold there was fungus and contamination in the pool and you can smell a foul odor as you get closer to the opening but unfortunately we didn’t notice the smell before we spent hours in that water. We needed multiple showers and medication to get through and it took days to recover. Night three we powered through to enjoy our last day and we went out and my husband noticed a huge amount of money missing from his bank account and when he called his bank they expressed there were a bunch of suspicious charges from the hotel for huge amounts made several times throughout each day we stood there. They expressed we were a part of a scam at the hotel and we left immediately! The most interesting part is through out our time at the hotel there were several receptionists and they all continued to stare and look suspicious each time we entered and left the lobby as they walked back and forth to a computer in the back and the one in the front and now we know why. It is so terrible and something like that can truly ruin someones life if they spent their last to room here. Thank god we were okay. I highly advise you to...
Read moreIt was a terrible stay.. I wish I could give negative rating.
Day 1 - we checked-in late evening after a long drive from Toronto, Canada to Hampton East Windsor and went to bed. At 4AM in the morning suddenly there was lot of noise and we all woke up and realised that the noise coming from room above us, I went to reception and Manager very causally said that it sometime happens as there is group checked in Room above us just now and they may be settling down. I fail to understand how come so much noise can come from that and it ruined out night sleep.
Day 2 - In morning I requested for change of Room but categorically denied stating there is no other Room available. While going out I requested for Cleaning of Room at Reception but when came back the Room was not cleaned.
Day 3 - while going out I again requested for Cleaning of Room and when returned it was clean but no Toilet Papers were kept. I called Reception and Manager said that you have to come in person to collect that as he cant leave reception, I sent my Son to get couple of Toilet Paper rolls and he was denied 2 and was given only 1 Roll and Manager very rudely talked to him and said that he can give only one Roll. We have spent close to $600 for 3 nights stay in Hotel and do you expect us to steal your Toilet Rolls ???? At midnight again the noise started coming from Room above and ruined our sleep again.
The Breakfast served was average and overall experience was so bad that I have no further words to explain…never ever going to stay...
