Where do I begin, initially everything was fine, the catering staff was excellent and ensured that our wedding day went well, they were great to work with and ensured that everything went smoothly. The issues we had were with the hotel.The hotel is severely understaffed and inefficient. During busy check-in times there was hardly anyone ever at the front desk. When there was, my guests shared that they were always met with rudeness and attitude from two different women. I was the bride staying in the Bridal suite for two nights and had the same experience! The room keys for me and all my guests kept deactivating the whole weekend. I had about 10 keys alone for the bridal suite. There is so much more I could share but let me get to the worst of it. Apparently a few of my guests checked-in and there was a mix up that occurred. I don’t know why brand new housekeeping laundry bags would be left on the front desk at a hotel. At the time of check-in my guests were offered the complementary items from another event and these bags were next to the complementary items so they mistakenly thought these laundry bags were a part of those complementary items they were offered. This happened on a Saturday, my wedding was on a Sunday and everyone checked out on Monday. Two days after we checked out of the hotel, my husband and I were still trying to enjoy this special time and we get a call from Caterina stating that these bags were taken and they saw it on camera it was one of our guests and they want it returned. We had no idea what she was talking about because my husband and I were not there for the incident so we were confused about what was going on. We also found it upsetting that we were being asked to reach out to guests of our wedding 2 days after getting married ourselves. I was sitting next to my husband when he expressed his confusion and suggested that they reach out directly to any guests to deal with the dispute. Both he and I we’re harassed with 2-3 more calls over a matter of days and then threatened by Caterina to have our credit card on file charged. When I called back, Caterina was incredibly rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. She name called my guests thieves and out right accused them of stealing these laundry bags then she threatened to file a police report for theft and was attacking my husband and I saying that we should be doing something about this incident that we had no direct involvement in. She was very hostile and incredibly nasty. It was clear by the inflammatory and pejorative language she kept using that she was trying to turn a minor mix up into a criminalizing situation. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing after spending over $20,000 with this establishment. Did you really think my guests came from out of town to steal the hotel laundry bags??? At a three star hotel no less??? As a woman of color, it was completely insulting, discriminatory, and disgusting the way I was being spoken to and the way my husband and I were being attacked. When I asked to speak with her manager she claimed that she was the “head of operations” and that there was no one above her I could speak to regarding making a formal complaint about her behavior. Denying access for guests to make a formal complaints are shady business practices and I would think long and hard about having your event here. While the catering staff was fantastic, unfortunately everything else is a total wreck and overshadowed the wonderful work of the lovely catering staff. I know the hotel’s response will claim “we are sorry to hear this and that’s not the way we remember it” but let me offer some sound advice, before offering that sad excuse of response, I suggest that you actually offer some resolve and help me file a formal complaint with corporate as well as issue a formal letter of a apology to me and my husband on behalf of your tactless unprofessional...
Read moreOur Wedding took place on July 21, 2023. Our experience with the Windsor Ballroom wedding coordinators and staff was superb. On our first consultation with Anjelica we loved it so much that we signed the contract right away. She was extremely caring and personable and so was Amanda.
They kept communicating with us making the wedding planning process so smooth and stress-free with all the help. This venue offered so much that we basically only needed to book a few vendors on our own. I was really nervous when I started to look for venues and once I met Anjelica she gave me so much reassurance, I felt confident and that really made a difference.
On our wedding day our guests were speechless with the amazing service and the amenities offered. We had our beautiful courtyard wedding ceremony, our cocktail hour a few steps away and our Reception in the ballroom area. My guests loved that everything was in the same place and that when they arrived there was ample parking and a beautiful lobby to welcome them.
The food at this venue is excellent. I’ve been to countless weddings and the food is never impressive. My guests were raving about the variety of food and how good and tasty it was. They are still talking about it.
Marvin was our banquet manager. He was outstanding to say the least. Marvin was on top of the schedule to make sure everything was running seamlessly on our wedding day. This guy secured my wedding dress bustle like a pro as I had put away my phone and couldn’t get my sister to do it. My Bridal suite was perfect. It was so big! My parents and sisters were able to go and spend some time with me before the ceremony began. They delivered some champagne to the bridal suite to celebrate before the ceremony began.
We couldn’t believe everything we got for the value. My family called our wedding day a magical moment. This was such a positive experience for such an important event, we will forever treasure the memories.
After our wedding was over they sent wedding cake to our bridal suite and more champagne to enjoy during our stay. Thank you to Anjelica, Amanda, Marvin, Steven and all of the Windsor Ballroom staff. We are happy and so grateful. Stellar service...
Read moreBooking the venue is probably the biggest wedding-planning decision there is. It’s ridiculously nerve-wracking. But I knew it would all turn out ok, because Tara was on the other side of the desk promising, “We will take care of you.” Tara is outstanding to work with. She has a fantastic reputation as well. So many of the vendors we interviewed knew her and were excited at the chance to work with her again.
Tara, and later on Caitlin, helped us plan an awesome party! The cocktail hour food is insane and I think it’ll be months before people stop talking about how much they loved it! We were blown away with all the wonderful things we were able to afford on our budget. The venue’s centerpieces saved hundreds. The room looked gorgeous! The food was great. And Tara, Caitlin, and Nick made sure all our little touches were exactly the way we wanted them. They really listen to all the details. Their 24hr response policy is the best! They were always there to answer questions! Tara & Caitlin even helped me book a morning-after breakfast buffet at the last minute, going over all the paperwork after-hours. They are so flexible!
The service at the Windsor Ballroom is outstanding. Our Maitre D’ Nick and his assistant Chris along with the waitress assigned to our table were all amazing. I was treated like royalty all night. They made sure we always had everything we wanted. They made sure we ate. Nick gave us instructions on how to cut the cake and he even gave me pointers on how to throw the bouquet! They really know how to orchestrate a reception. The rest of the staff took excellent care of our guests too. All our guests said they were very well taken care of.
The only bump in the road was the hotel staff did not give great rates on the room block. The rooms themselves are great though. The bridal suite had plenty of room for me & my maids to get ready in the morning. The french doors are awesome for pictures!
