Price was fantastic. A movie, small popcorn and a medium drink for $10? Yep, that's it! This was my first time at the Majestic Theater. I had been told before that the sound is not very good. So I really didn't have high expectations of the quality of the sound and picture. And, that truth bore itself out evidently. The cost of going there to watch a movie could be raised 25% and then try to seriously upgrade their sound system. The old style seating was to be expected and I was okay with that. The fact that I chose to sit in the balcony and walked up many steps to then walk down to the front row of the balcony, I was okay with that. The quality of the picture screen was okay.    Read moreThis beautifully nostalgic theatre has long held a special place in my heart. As a very lonely 8 year old of divorced parents I spent many hours here. My father would drop me off (it was considerably safer back then to do so) and I would feel comforted by the warm "comfiness" this place inspired. I grew up and moved away and was saddened when it closed it's doors for a time. The volunteers who gave of their time and skills have done an amazing job and I was thrilled to bring my own children (and grandchildren) back to the Marvelous Majestic! Movie prices are very inexpensive, concession stand prices are out of this world inexpensive. The Majestic Theatre is mostly run by volunteers, . All kinds of events are held here.
