Oh St Joseph Resort Hotel — Hotel in Egg Harbor Township

Let's see. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. First off its completely far away from anything good unless u have a car. But i figured why not since i can just uber it when i want to go to the beach/casino. I figured I'd just hit the pool or the lake thats walking distance from the hotel. Well let me tell u if u want a pool, this ain't the place. So i booked in the beginning of April and it states they have a pool. However, when i arrived they said the pool hasn't been available in over a year and they took the sign off mid April. Ummm excuse me but why did it take u that long? Now I'm like fine I'll just walk to the lake. Nope. The lake is closed. So for the WHOLE week i was here i had to uber back and forth to get to the beach. So who ever is writting reviews here and saying they was in the pool just a week or 3 months ago is lying.Now for free beakfast...lol. That consist of waffles which are delicious if your willing to stand on line to make them. Cereal only raisin brand and cornflakes. Toast, muffin, coffee, orange juice, milk, and apple juice. That's it. The place looks so out dated and like its about to fall apart. Game room, yet another thing to laugh at. They have a few games that work but most was just a waste of money. It was just a joke and the ceiling looked as though it was going to callapes. Now for the gym area it was ok. I dont workout so i didnt go in. The "Sundeck" if thats what u want to call it was empty except for 1 plastic chair and a small trash can. The laundry area has 1 washer and 1 dryer...lol. For anyone who wants to wash clothes like i did before going home with sand in ur suitcase ur going to need a prayer..lol. Its $2 to wash and $2 to dry. Not bad. But i hope no one else is washing when u are or else you'll be waiting a long time. Plus the dryer does not dry your clothes completely. Now that leaves me to the room. Its nice and big. But like everything else, outdated. The T.V was very small for such a large room with a king size bed. The window area was gross. Excuse the clothes and stuff all around since i was packing and had my still wet clothes from the dryer around to actually dry. Oh i almost forgot the restaurant that's here. Omg this is just like the rest of the hotel when i say out of date and falling apart. The food was o.k but not the best. Most of the time i didnt know if the person that was there worked there or was just dinning in there. Not organized at all. Oh don't bother with the Wi-Fi, it sucked so bad i just had to use my data. I couldn't watch youtube, Netflix or even prime video on it. Let alone play any of my online games. One thing positive i do have to say is that the people here...

This motel should get 0 star as when you enter in front desk,,, bad smell starts from there. Rooms smell bad too and mattress had stains on it and it was all torn parts. Not sure if they change beds and pillows covers. I found hairs on the bed. Later after checking into room here, I read reviews and read about bed bugs. So we turned on light whole night to get sleep. Bathroom door we couldn’t lock,, there are molds on sink and bath tubs. Water tab handle was too tight to turn on, tiles in the bathroom were old and some were not replaced. We went over weekend so we paid almost $287/night but trust me it was even worth of $40 bucks. In the morning when went for breakfast, there are fees options only- bread, muffin, waffle, Cheerios and of course orange juice and coffee. But, muffins and Cheerios were stale. My kid couldn’t even eat anything. When we drove around building to get into highway, we noticed bunch of mattresses seems like those were just brought there from garbage. Ohh we had such a bad experience staying there. We are hoping that we didn’t bring any bed bugs home. So, immediately after getting home we took shower and did hot laundry for all the clothes to took into that motel.

Surprisingly, I saw some good reviews about this motel and I am sure owner is the one who is giving good reviews to bring reviews star atleast back to 2.5 or 3. But, please go with the reviews where people are pouring their frustrations about the stay. Also, staying there I don’t think it’s good for your health. I must say this hotel is rather disappointing. I booked this hotel cuz it was at first affordable for me and my wife to invest in for our vacation but it’s horrible it’s far away from the main site and honestly it’s in the middle of nowhere! The gaming room hardly has games which makes it boring for the people. And for a king size room we only had a tiny TV the size of a child! There’s mold on the window and we just got told AFTER we booked our room that the so called “pool” had been permanently closed for repair when they didn’t mention anything of that on the website they post their ads on. Oh tho the people was in fact polite everything else was a nightmare. For people who don’t have a car this place is not a place you’d wanna go unless you have a lot of money to be getting a Uber. Total disappointment. And the lake that’s nearby (only place one can cool off) is closed. The food wasn’t the greatest either. No flavor and very slow. The lobby looked nice but everything else was horrible including the weird smell in our room! This place should be shut down for renovation! This place needs help. I rather spend a lot more money for better quality then save a penny to a place that is falling apart. You can’t even lean on the walls without feeling like the wall is gonna crash! And the laundry room was horrible. For a place that holds over 20 guest you could’ve had more washers and dryers then 1 -_- not worth it.
