Read moreWill never stay here again, and would not recommend it to anyone due to an uncomfortable room, lack of hospitality, lack of food, and terrible value for the price.||First, the positives. The inn is a charming historic building. The room was clean. The bath soap smelled nice. Although the room was freezing, there were plenty of blankets and a space heater. Umm I think that’s it…?||The inn isn’t very comfortable. We stayed in one of the basement rooms, which was cold and noisy. We heard people walking around above us, loud music from the venue, and a freaking rooster crowing all day. There were no amenities, such as a TV or mini-fridge. The bed (which was labeled as a king on Hotels.com but was actually a queen) dipped in the center so badly that I spent the whole night trying not to roll into my husband—which is pretty unacceptable at a hotel.||Food was very misleading. They have breakfast, which you pay for separately, but not as many options as I saw online; after viewing the sparse menu, with almost no vegetables, we chose to go elsewhere. It claims to have a dinner restaurant on site, which is total crap—what they have is a music venue. We tried to eat dinner there, and they wanted to charge $25 per person just to enter, before ordering food! So essentially, there’s no real food onsite. And the water fountain was empty the whole time.||I never saw a staff person while we were there (aside from the woman selling coffee); not a welcoming vibe at all. The inn shares a parking lot with the music venue, with no parking dedicated to the inn, so parking is a challenge when there’s a show.||Overall, we were uncomfortable and annoyed the entire time. We couldn’t...
Read moreDo not stay at this Inn. It is not in the condition depicted in the photos posted to this site. We actually had to find another place to stay the second night of our weekend in the Berkshires because of the awful conditions.|When we arrived Friday evening, there was an alarm sounding just inside the front door. |When we opened the door to our assigned room, we were greeted by the stench of mildew. Areas of paint on the interior facing door to our room were scraped off in places. the walls were dirty and peeling and there was a large bug in the upper corner of the bathroom. There was no WIFI, so we had to wait to return to our car to text the Innkeeper about the alarm and WIFI (what wax the point of saying anything about our observations). When we returned from dinner the alarm was still ringing. In the middle of the night the heat was turned off, so it was cold. It is not surprising that we were not able to sleep in these conditions.|Instead of enjoying our weekend plans, we spent Saturday morning finding another place to stay the night. |The owner and inn keeper should be ashamed. |Not only was our room paid for in full, but we incurred an additional expense to stay elsewhere.|I find it hard to believe we paid to stay in...
