Hotel 81 El Reno — Hotel in El Reno

I've stayed in extended stay motels all over the world...never imagined I'd ever give one more than 3s.... this is the exception. The daily rate is fair...and they actually give you a real discount for weekly rates. But the room blew my mind.... I've stayed in 4 motels that weren't as clean. I opened the door of my "smoking room" expecting to get hit with an undescribable odor. Nope... first thing I saw was a very nice loveseat with a coffee table desk and nice desk chair and everything was spotless...no bugs hidden no missed areas of cleanliness.... honestly I'm still in shock...it just proves that it can be...

Seems like a nice enough hotel but they don’t seem to want pets, even though it says pet friendly. I was really hoping to stay here because I needed to take my dodge van in for emergency repairs at the dealer next door and they said no because I had a dog (but they didn’t even ask what kind or anything and she’s small). I plead my case because my van was squeaking so bad I didn’t want to drive another inch, even asked if I could sleep in my van overnight in their lot and pay them for that….still said no….just seemed to lack humanity a little at the front desk, or they really hate dogs....

Great staff, my only complaint is it took a couple of days to get the air-conditioning working. Considering that they are still under reconstruction (they were hit directly by a tornado last year), the rooms are acceptable for the price ($58.50 with tax and no security deposit). 2-3 minute walking distance to a 24 hour travel center (big +). They have both smoking and non-smoking rooms available. Pets are welcome and they do have both truck and RV parking available and they have extremely easy access...
