Bed sheets were dirty, other occupants beside of us standing outside cursing and screaming all day in front of our room, then they let somebody come in right now at 1:20am on 06/11/2025 waking us and our toddler up banging, kids running around and being loud and thumping (IN THE ROOM ABOVE US). Asked for a refund to go elsewhere and the girl denied us our money back we paid for two night’s in advance $200 wasted. Why would you let somebody in overtop of others at 1:20 in the morning with MULTIPLE LOUD KIDS ??? Sad. 06/11/2025 MANAGER calls our room at 10pm wakes me up out of bed, I come down to her office where she slams a chair down for me, yells at me the whole time threatens to make me leave tonight after I already paid for the night and tells me she isn’t refunding my stay nor moving me rooms Lied saying nobody is above us while I’m hearing stomping upstairs as I’m updating this review. The neighbor next door who cursed all day was intoxicated the employees themselves said they cleaned up two black trash bags of nothing but alcohol out of his room, throw up and, “chunks blew everyone” (poop) in the bathroom, the people upstairs were said to have checked out according to the employees earlier today but manager said nobody was above us last night. Yet tonight we’re hearing the stomping, kids and stuff being dropped / threw everywhere all over again. Was told by the employees that they don’t change the tops sheets which would make sense considering our bed spreads were dirty. She asked why I checked in at 3:30 but didn’t make a complaint about the bed sheets until 10pm which like anybody would we didn’t pull the cover down until we went to lay down for bed. Got kept up the first night because of drunks next door to us partying until 10pm, had to change my own bed spread not going to bed until 11pm then woke up at 1:20am by somebody checking into their room and kept up until 3:30am by them being loud, running back and forth, thumping and slamming or dropping things complaints were made for all of this too and requested to be moved or a refund and to speak to a manager MULTIPLE times to Dani and Chelsea at the front desk. Never received any communication from anybody let alone a manager. Emailed the manager with all of my pictures that I had etc finally calls me in tonight by myself being hostile and made me and my family feel uncomfortable staying here stating that a traveler is more important than locals going through a hardship. 5:47am rolls around the alarm clock in our room goes off another indicator that the room hasn’t been cleaned properly because all of this should be checked / reset every time somebody checks out. I was going to let me review be where it was and how it was said but I’m choosing to update it because of the hostility I experienced by myself in a setting where I felt afraid and not welcomed which I also have the over 20 minute long video of her yelling at me then when she noticed I was recording she started to be “nice” and act like she cared. Even hugged me without permission because she made me cry and brought up that she has daughters and didn’t want to see me cry after yelling at me, telling me I can leave and that “locals aren’t welcome” except for case by case which we were welcomed due to our circumstances which she knew about prior to talking to me the way that she did. She also admitted to writing back to me underneath of my review being hateful and excused it because “i complained about the dirty sheets and the noise” and because i expedited things by reaching out the wyndham customer care instead of her whenever I tried since I practically checked in to reach out to her and got nothing but failed attempts every time due to staff.

If the manager had contacted me at least by today I wouldn’t have even wrote them a review good or bad because they would have addressed the problem. But since they refused to call me and act like an actual business, I decided to post a review on this matter. Due to the lack of business like attitude and the lack to make this right, I am now in contact with the right party to address this matter. It is our right as people to have a clean stay somewhere that we are paying for so this matter won’t just go away.

I was surprised at how decent this room was given the remote area. I had a multi-day stay and was happy with the noise levels being low and the location being central to the different state/national parks. The bed was comfy & clean and the recliner was a rather nice homey touch. There's a standard hotel sized refrigerator and the shower was great. The pool is currently closed and make sure you call ahead if you're going to check-in late as the front office is closed in the early AM.

I was surprised at how decent this room was given the remote area. I had a multi-day stay and was happy with the noise levels being low and the location being central to the different state/national parks. The bed was comfy & clean and the recliner was a rather nice homey touch. There's a standard hotel sized refrigerator and the shower was great. The pool is currently closed and make sure you call ahead if you're going to check-in late as the front office is closed in the early AM.

First impressions with this hotel were great with the appearance of recent remodeling, but once you are in the rooms themselves is when the problems become apparent. Here is a breakdown of our very poor stay at Luxor Inn by Wyndham: We stayed our first night in Room 143 and when I woke up and turned the light on my end table on a roach crawled across the table and I killed it. Then, my wife opened the microwave to heat something up and one roach crawled from under the microwave and one roach crawled out of the microwave. I did manage to kill both of those as well. At this point we packed our belongings and I went to the front desk and spoke to a young man named Devin. I informed him of the issue and he stated that he was sorry and that they had a problem with roaches and had a couple of questionable guest stay but they thought the issue was resolved with their pest control service they use regularly. "OBVIOUSLY NOT!" Devin moved us to a new room, room #146, which I personally checked and sprayed with roach spray that I bought from Walmart. We stayed our second night in room #146 and all was fine until the next morning when we noticed that after taking showers and using the toilet the bathroom floor was squishy and had water seeping through the cracks. Again, we packed our belongings and I went to the front desk and spoke to Devin. I informed him of the issue and he apologized and offered to move us to room #148. I told Devin that I would give them one last chance since I booked the hotel for 2 weeks, but that I wanted to speak to the Manager and that I would like some compensation due to all the problems. He stated he would speak to the Manager Denise and would have her call me. We moved to room #148, where I sprayed the room for roaches myself just to be safe. Again, we stayed our third night in our third room and woke up to take a shower, but the shower would not drain because it was clogged with hair and dirt. I informed the young lady at the front desk that the shower was clogged and she said she would get the maintenance man to come look at it. After a second phone call and 45 minutes later the maintenance man arrived to find that the shower was clogged up with hair and dirt. He removed the clog and from that point on there weren't any other major issues. The only other issues with the rooms were there was holes in the wall behind the bathroom door and the cleanliness of the rooms was poor. We cleaned the rooms ourselves. Now, the manager, Denise, finally called me and said she would give me a $50 discount and $10 off of two weekend nights for a total of a $70 discount. That is basically one night free out of a 2 week stay. Then, the charging my card issues began. After my third night, I had already paid for half my stay. Then every night after midnight they would attempt to charge my card various amounts. After talking to Devin and the other young lady that worked the front desk, they stated they would get with the manager to resolve the issue. Three days of this issue and double charging my card I finally had enough and went to the front desk and informed Devin that my patience had run out and I wanted it resolved. At this point a gentleman sitting in the Lobby asked what the problem was. As it turns out, he was one of the owners. I told him about all the problems with my stay. And guess who came running out of the office when I started talking to the owner, that's right, Denise the manger came out. She tried to down play everything and act like they didn't find any roaches in the room and the drain was just clogged with some dust. I informed Denise that I did not appreciate her insinuating that I was lying and that I had pictures of the hair clog and dirt the maintenance man put in the garbage if she would like to see them. She was not very helpful or apologetic for any of the issues. In my opinion, Denise should not be a Manager of any business, but especially of a hotel. Devin was more helpful than the manager, but he could only tell the manager about the issues. The manager should have resolved the issues and been speaking to me directly from the beginning, but she avoided me and hid in her office when she was even at work. So, to be very clear, No I would not ever recommend the Luxor...

HORRIBLE. ||RIPPED OFF A DISABLED SENIOR.||||This might be the worst stay I've ever had. I was on a trip with my disabled mother and decided to make a reservation at the Luxor Inn and Suites in Elkins. ||||When I arrived the lady at the desk was pleasant enough. I reiterated that we needed two beds and a downstairs room since my mother can't do stairs. She replied that there were no downstairs rooms but there was a handicap accessible room she could give us. She then proceeded to charge my card. ||||The first thing that happened is she wrote the wrong room number on the key so I had to go back and have her correct that. When I did get into the room there was only a king bed. I let her know that would not work. The room had a chair, but it didn't fold into a sleeper and there was no effort made at this point to get a roll out bed or a couch for us.||||At this point I just wanted to cut my loses and have her refund the card. She refused saying I used a third party site. I had booked directly on the Wyndham app. I then called up Wyndham directly and was on speaker phone. The lady then said we had booked a king room. Obviously not true. She herself switched it and I showed her the resveration on my phone. She then called another manager, person in charge, as she said she couldn't swipe the card for a refund. That manager flat out refused to refund our money.||||They would rather have a disabled person risk injury on their stairs. I can only hope their liability insurance is paid up if this is how they treat their customers. ||||Meanwhile my mother is stuck in the car as this is going on for over an hour. Customers are coming in and one guy looks at me while I'm on the phone with Wyndham and says, “Trouble with your reservation,” with a nod. I guess I'm not the only person whose experienced the special brand of crap service by the Luxor Inn.||||At the end of the day I just wend to the Wingate in the same town. They were much more professional and much more accommodating for disabled persons. I still haven't gotten my money back but I did get an email the next day thanking me for choosing the Luxor and a lame excuse of why they just didn't refund my money knowing that they couldn't take care of my disabled mother.||||Trust me. Spend the extra 10 or 20 and avoid the Luxor Inn and Suites...
