This motel is simple no frills but it's clean and most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Amy and Cheyenne were very nice and helpful, other staff were mopey. We stayed here for 10 nights for work at the nearby college. Overall our stay was good and worth what we paid. The rooms are not big, and the showerhead is very low, like at the 5ft level. Bonus - hottest water ever ❤️ When we requested our room cleaned, they did a great job. When we needed towels, they were always kind. We had our DND on the door most of our stay. And no one entered unlike other hotels. Breakfast is simple grab and go. Coffee is actually pretty good. I made eggs in our room and utilized their breakfast options. Oatmeal, cereal, toast, muffins, mini donuts, milk, yogurt, and fruit. The have lots of parking with a big dirt lot for truckers, RVs, and oversized vehicles. They do have a paid washer/dryer (only one and not the best), ice machine, and a well stocked vending machine. Plus Pilot is across the street with an Arbys that is open late. This an older motel but the pillows are pretty beat up. The towels are not the best but for a short stay but they work. Glad I brought my own. Due to the external device for TV channels, TV is almost impossible to hear. I have great hearing and had it maxed 70+. When I hooked up my laptop to watch movies, sound was normal (15-20 range). There is a lake behind the motel. No lake view due to overgrowth but a slight possibility from the second floor? You can see the little lake from the picnic table behind the parking lot.

I will preface this by saying - you get what you pay for. At $74 a night, I wasn’t expecting much, but this was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Some of this isn’t the fault of the hotel itself - the location is horrendous - basically a truck stop with heavy loud traffic all night long. We stayed on a ground level room facing the street. However, this place is in serious need of updating. Scratches and crayon marks on the doors and walls, water stains on the towel holders, stains on the towels (I might add, way too small for a regular sized adult). Thankfully, the bed sheets appeared clean (first thing we checked). Unfortunately I got zero sleep due to the thin walls of the place and our neighbor blasting his tv the entire night, as well as what appeared to be an animal pee smell in the room. Guessing this place doesn’t allow pets but some were snuck in by a previous guest. The “continental breakfast” consists of basically mini muffins and mini bagels and toast with bland coffee and juice. Thought this would be fine with a one night stay, and this wasn’t booked by me personally, but if you’re looking to actually rest and are a light sleeper - spend the extra $50-100 for somewhere else.

We travel quite a bit, and usually give the hotels a little leeway - however, we had to sleep under an open hole in our ceiling. Obviously someone was trying to hang a fire detector and left the hole open. All I could see was a highway for bugs! There were patched holes on the wall, and the room smelled like smoke (I know, there are no smoking signs up outside, but none on the door or in the room.) We had no phone in our room to call the front desk. The rooms are tiny. The electrical service is a fire waiting to happen - there was a power strip with the microwave and refrigerator plugged in to it, and there was another power strip behind the bed. My husband uses a CPAP and had to access the strip behind the bed. Otherwise, there was only one other plug in the bedroom - the one in a recessed compartment on the desk. On the plus side, there was plenty of parking, including for big rigs. This wouldn't be a bad stop if they did some maintenance!

Do not stay here! The owner manager - Suhk Shergill is the most unprofessional and rude person I have ever come across in the hospitality industry. I was charged a $350 cancellation fee out of spite after Sukh gave away our room. The motel was not the nicest but it was the only place available for Rodeo weekend so I booked it. I had booked it for 2 nights, but had to adjust my reservation to 1 night so I called the hotel. They said since I had booked on Booking.com, I would need to call them. I called Booking and they assured me they would contact the property to request to change the stay from Friday and Saturday, to just Saturday. I hadn’t heard an update so I arrived at 6:45 am on Saturday to abide by the check-in policy for the night before, just in case.

The front desk was very kind but could not find me in the system. After 29 minutes of trying, he said he would need to call the manager/ owner. The owner/ manager started yelling at the young man and told him to hand the phone to me. He told me I was a “no show” and that my room was given away. I explained I got there early and on time, also that I had attempted to make the change before the reservation. He rudely demanded to know who I had talked to at the EconoLodge about the change request. I said that when I called the hotel directly, I was told to call Booking.com since I had booked through them. He said you should have gotten a name of someone at the hotel, but since you didn’t book through us directly - complain to Booking make them deal with it. I asked him for his name, he said “You don’t get my name!”. I said you just got done chastising me for not getting someone’s name at the hotel but I can’t get yours?? He said “NO! You do not get my name!”. Then he repeated my name ( I found out later he was looking me up to charge me a $350 cancellation fee). Then he rudely laughed and said “You were a no show. Your room was given away”. And he then hung up.

We asked the front desk what the owner/ managers name is. He said he was not allowed to give it out. SUKH SHERGILL does not site on site at property and is not local. Just a mean motel owner/ manager who yells at his employees and customers. We called around and confirmed his name as well as the check-in policy. We are disputing the charge and have been told we will be successful.

We lucked out and got a room at the Hampton Inn which was 1 million times nicer Suhk’s motel! I am escalating to Booking.com as well! They need to remove Suhk’s Econo Lodge from their listings. It is clear that Suhk does not like Booking.com’s business or customers. OR, maybe Suhk is just a bad owner in general and is rude to all guests. The staff on site were as helpful as they could be, though probably terrified of their boss. Don’t stay here! You are better off camping at the fairgrounds.

Extremely basic hotel bordering on lower end of scale.. The rooms are very dated and although clean, the overall feeling left me wondering just how clean it really was. Let's just say I avoided touching anything I didn't need to use (refrigerator, microwave, A/C unit). Wore slippers and didn't use the closet or drawers. I applaud the hotel for its environmental usage of dispensers in the shower, but the towels were well-worn and stained. I requested 2 additional towels and received them within minutes. These also showed some staining. The bed is hard by any standard (like sleeping on a sheet of plywood) and the pillows like rocks. This was a contender for the most uncomfortable bed I've sleep in on 5 continents. Although WIFI is available, I was never able to make a connection from the room or balcony with 3 different devices. The surrounding area is pretty barren but there is a nice 'pond' across the back lot which is relaxing while eating at one of the picnic tables. This is probably the best feature of this hotel. City center is almost within walking distance (about 1 mile) but an easy drive after exploring the various bars and restaurants. We didn't bother with the breakfast as it was carb based and industrial coffee. We opted for a restaurant in Leavenworth. It would be difficult to justify staying here again (primarily due to the bed), but if they did some major upgrades and improved to the Choice Hotels standards, I might...
