IHOP — Restaurant in Ellensburg

I would like to start with our situation. We had a family gathering and decided it would be a good idea for us all to come to this restaurant. We were all seated and placed our order. Another family came in, were seated, received their orders and were gone by the time we finally started getting our food. This was an hour timeframe. Our food did not come out at the same time. We waited for an hour with small children who were beyond antsy at this point. By the time the last of our group received their food the people who were initially served had cold plates of food sitting in front of them. Come to find out they only had one cook working. My personal experience with the food, my omelette was much smaller then I have ever experienced with an IHOP omelette before but the most disappointing aspect of the food was the pancakes. These pancakes were paper thin and crispy dry. These are not the famous IHOP pancakes we have had at any other IHOP. My aunt sent back two sets for herself and one of the others in our party due to the same issue. They were just awful. There was a serious lack of staffing at this location. There should be a sign outside that says we are understaffed so people who expect good service can find another place to go. My aunt made it clear to staff what a horrible experience the entire thing was. The woman mentioned she could give us 10% off. She then said let me call my regional manager and see what we can do. She then told me the regional manager just wanted to talk to us. They never took her name or number and she realized this as we were on the road. She was so frustrated at this point as just talking to them took a good 20 min. There was no inegrity in this situation and they had no interest in fixing the situation right then and there. All in all we as a family will not be coming back to this establishment. The service was awful, the waiting an hour for subpar food with young children was awful and the lack of care about our thoughts about the situation could not have been more of a turn off. My family and I visited this location back on 08/09/2023. We were driving through on our way to Seattle and decided to stop here for breakfast. It was my first time ever eating at an IHop, but my youngest child and fiancé have visited plenty of times in the past. The restaurant itself is large in size and looked extremely clean and well maintained on the outside, as well as on the inside. For being 6am in the morning, I am completely shocked we were the only ones in this place ordering breakfast. There’s a decent sized hotel directly behind this restaurant and it’s only down the street from the main highway. Upon entering, we were greeted by the only waiter working at that time named Aidan. He grabbed the menus and happily walked us to our booth. Besides being extremely patient, he was well mannered, friendly, and had a wonderful sense of humor for it being super early in the morning. I am unsure how long Aidan has been a waiter, but he did a phenomenal job when it came to customer service. He kept our cups of coffee filled, made sure to check on our table every 5 minutes, and gave the best recommendations when it came to dishes to try. My son gobbled up his chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. My fiancé really enjoyed his country fried steak and eggs. And I absolutely loved every bite of my spicy poblano omelette that Aidan suggested. Everything looked like the menu displayed and it was delicious! One of the WORST experiences I've had by far!

Wait time: 9+ minutes Waited to be seated for almost 10 minutes because there was I only one waitress working. She was nice, polite and courteous but I could tell she was have a hard day. Already serving 2 other tables and there was 2 different parties waiting to be seated.

Atmosphere: Terrible! Place was not clean at all. Several tables were still uncleaned. Waitress dropped my drinks giving another table their check and didnt return for at least a half hour. They didn't clean that right away so there was lemonade and glass on the floor for a while. Her coworker came out and took our order. After that he brought tje other table food and when asked for ketchup, he just took it from a already ised table. Would've rather had her because he rude and short.

Food: HORRENDOUS!!! Ordered an Egg whites omelet with bacon. You would think at IHOP they would get breakfast done correctly right? WRONG!! Omelet was over cooked so much that the outer portion was inedible. They bacon was burned. Conveyed this to the rude waiter and all he wanted to do was interrogate asking "Whats wrong with it?" I explained and there was no reissue asked or anything. No offer to take it off the bill.

Overall experience: Absolutely dissatisfied!!! Don't recommend going there at night. Hopefully day shift is better than the...
