Rainbow Lodge YMCA — Hotel in Estes Park

This place is a complete joke. Loud, half-naked kids running around, and no one in charge is doing anything to control them. There’s elk poop everywhere, construction going on with no warning signs, and I slipped in the mud because of it. When I asked to go back to my room to clean up, the admin refused, delaying my trip by over an hour. The front desk staff lied, saying I needed to buy wood for a gas-powered fire pit—seriously? Mini golf was a mess, with water filling the holes. The beds were disgusting, covered in trash and crumbs, and I had to put the sheets on myself. The towels had brown and red stains. The toilet barely flushed, and the deadbolt on the door was broken. Quiet hours are only from 11 pm to 5 am, and there’s no security—just chaos. On top of the overpriced rooms, you have to pay extra for archery, while the staff act like they don’t even care. Check-in took 20 minutes even though I booked ahead. The blanket in my room was sticky, and when I called for a replacement, they made me walk half a mile in the middle of the night to get it. Food is overpriced and limited. Board games in the admin building are trashed and unplayable. If I could give half a star, I would—this place doesn’t deserve any better. I will never come back, and I suggest you don’t waste...

The room was acceptable, especially considering we reserved it at the last minute. However, it wasn't suitable for our group. We couldn't gather in the room at night without going outside. Additionally, the noise from the steps in the upstairs room was disruptive and could be felt in our room. The rooms are quite small and can only fit six beds. Wish we could stay here longer to experience all the facilities this place has to offer.

The only drawback was that the checkin and checkout times. Checkin is at 6pm and checkout is 10am.
