Kaweah Campground is a truly beautiful place to stay right outside of Sequoia. 🌲✨ One of the best parts is the hot showers, they’re open at the top, so you can shower while looking up at the stars. It’s honestly breathtaking and such a unique experience. The stargazing in general is incredible, you can see the stars so clearly from any campsite, and it really adds to the magic of being there. The grounds themselves are very clean and well-kept, and it’s clear that management puts effort into taking care of the property, which is greatly appreciated. That being said, there are a few downsides. On our first night, one of the sites we reserved had some water flooding, so we had to rearrange a bit. It wasn’t the end of the world, but it was inconvenient. Another con is that the campground is located directly across the street from a bar. At night, it got pretty loud and rowdy, which made it difficult to sleep at times. Also, the website mentions charging stations, but this was misleading. There’s really only one outlet at the whole campground, and it’s only available when the specific site it belongs to isn’t reserved by someone else. When I tried to charge my phone for navigating Sequoia during the day, the owner (Nikki) explained that I could only use it on certain days/times. This is definitely something they could improve on since most campers just want a reliable way to quickly charge their phones. Finally, there’s no cell signal at all. This can be a blessing if you’re looking to fully disconnect and immerse yourself in nature, but it’s a downside if you need directions or want to stay connected. Overall, though, Kaweah is a beautiful and memorable campground. The stargazing, clean grounds, and hot showers under the stars make it a special place, it just has a few quirks to be aware of before you go.

Would definitely recommend! We were driving into Three Rivers late Friday night and needed a campsite. I called and the camp owner was super nice and hooked us up with a last minute campsite. Campsite was spacious and very well kept. The campground supplies showers, pit toilets, and free campfire wood! The campground sites right off of Sierra Dr so it can get noisy from the cars driving by, but it honestly was not an issue for us. Please note: this is a walk in campground! You have to park your car in the parking lot and carry your things in to the site. Overall, great night and super affordable.

You shouldn't stay here. If you want privacy with nature, this is the most unsuitable place. The campsite is located right on a busy highway, in a parking lot near a bar, where drunk people come out and yell right in your ear. I don't know why I drove here for 5 hours, it was a big mistake.

DANGEROUS! DON’T STAY HERE: Camping comes with many understandable risks, but staying at Kaweah Oaks Campground has been the most dangerous thing I have done in my life! It was my best friend's birthday, and since we love nature and exploring, so we decided to spend the weekend exploring Sequoia. Staying here seemed like a good option to spend the night. We drove more than 4 hrs to get to the campground, so when we got there it was late. We set up our tents and lit a fire to cook and eat dinner. Then, a really mean guy came to us yelling because we were being too loud and he was trying to sleep. He said he was a friend of the owner, and that he had stayed there for three days because he needed peace. As you can read in many other reviews, there is a loud bar right in front of the grounds, and the camp is also right next to the noisy highway, so we were really surprised to have a guy yelling at us when it was really loud across the street. Why didn’t he go yell at them? Our group was made of two girls and two boys. My best friend and I went to sleep early. Only my boyfriend and her boyfriend stayed up talking. We got up around 7:30 a.m and as we were carrying everything to the car (as you can read in other reviews, you park far away from the camping zone and you carry everything), the owner approached us out of nowhere saying: “You guys were really lucky I was not here last night. I would have called the cops and get you arrested. I want you out of my property!” I explained to him that last night the lady in charge came to us, explained all the rules (in a really nice way), and she said that it was okay to just be talking. We followed everything she said. I asked him to go and talk to her. It was the owner who approached us yelling, and then we just walked away repeating “these young people know nothing about respect.” As we were putting everything in our car (and with my bad luck), my plastic bag ripped and I had to pick everything up and put it in another bag. He came back and said, “Hurry up and get the hell out of my property. I will call the sheriff and get you arrested!” I felt so humiliated. He was yelling and treating us like if we were worse than criminals. So I yelled back “That’s enough from you. It has been established that we will not come back, so you can just stop harassing us and yelling at us.” He left yelling other things about us, and when he and his friend from last night came back, they were VISIBLY CARRYING THEIR GUNS!!! GUNS! What type of people go get their guns after an argument? We were leaving!!! We were just carrying everything to our car. Two girls and two boys. The owner and his friend were HOVERING like vultures over a dead animal! Thinking about it gives me the chills. The really nice lady who spoke to us the night before came to us as we were driving out of the parking lot. She apologized about everything and said that she was going to speak to them. Still, I would never go...

We rented Dolly‘s cabin and the cabinet itself is nice, but the person that is monitoring the property was very verbally, aggressive, and difficult to communicate with and very judgmental. We showed up at the house with People to help us unload because both of us were handicapped, and we brought two young boys that were from the campground to help us, and he accused us of trying to sleep more than four there although we told him we were not he continued to accuse us of lying which created a strong riff between us because we’re like wait a minute we have people here to help us not to stay here. Somehow, we got through the first day, but apparently he felt threatened by us because we confronted him on a few issues about his cameras that where there’s no posting that said there’s a camera and the fact that my wife questioned him about he was carrying a handgun and she wanted to know if he had a permit for it because she was nervous because her veteran dad was staying there and he has PTSD To make a long story short, this particular location caused a lot of trouble for us because on the very next day, he called the sheriff to have us removed because he was fearful of my which is funny and the fact that she accused him of having a gun without a permit, and he was afraid of her, he said And he additionally accused us for having having more than four people in the house in the middle of the day cooking food we had five people there which I thought was a complete ridiculous problem So after we left and dealt with leaving, we cleaned up we put our trash away. We did everything on the thing because we weren’t about to let him charge us for more things and it was just difficult to be treated that way. My hope is that if somebody reads this, they might reconsider staying there due to the reviews that you see on there or for people apparently that didn’t need any assistance or any kind of special needs help because showing up with two handicap books with two handicap passes I guess didn’t count to get help from people able to assist. Just throwing...
