If you don't want to read entire review, at least read final paragraph. And no we will not stay here again.
Call ahead and see if they have large convention group staying, if yes and you're not part of it, good luck.
Absolutely NO parking on site, period. I'd be very cautious with the four spots up front. They could be all considered "handicapable". And without getting into legal speak, it's fair to leave those for our handicapable folks.
On to our stay. Hotel Staff: Excellent, very courteous. Appeared to be overworked. Hotel room: clean and tv didn't work and wifi is not reliable. They put us next to the stairwell, kinda weird for booking directly through them. Especially with the price tag of room. Their website lures you in... Good job! Value: we truly feel like a bad hand after three card monte. Feeling the scammed feel for what we paid. Not even closely worth anything near 100 or more a night. We paid north of $120/night after taxes and fees.
Restaurant: couldn't figure out if it was open or closed on Friday. On Saturday it had a $5 cover charge to enter. (No tables)
Breakfast: a grade below continental. Better off going down to the gas station (Jacks)
Biggest 2 tips: choose a location to stay in FairfieldBay with at least a kitchenette or condo. Restaurant there and in town may or may not be open. If they're open good luck getting a table. EVERYWHERE we went around town asked if we were stay at the "Wyn" resort :) if so DISCOUNT! Only one place provided a discount for stay at Cobblestone and that was mini golf, which was...
Read moreWrong room on reservation. The clerk reluctantly corrected that to what was actually reserved. The clerk, while accommodating was very sarcastic with obvious attitude that we inconvenienced her by my having a service dog. Then tried to charge us a"pet fee". A service dog cannot be charged a pet fee by hotels/motels btw. Did have to sign a waiver of sorts "in case the dog did something to the room". I had no problem with signing that as my very highly trained Service Dog will never have an issue destroying anything. Also, no body towels in the bathroom just wash cloths and hand towels. Had to ask for that as well. The TV Channels were few and far between also. No information on surrounding restaurants and things to do. Thankfully, SUPER NICE employee came and offered us a binder of such information at our room. Handicap accessible room is questionable. The room itself was clean and amazingly accessible. The tub/shower was the one that was NOT accessible. Super narrow, shower curtain doesn't cover the bath bench so water soaks the floor making a fall hazard upon exiting the extremely tall side walls of the tub. The water pressure is very, very low as well. Handicap parking is ridiculously far from the entrance. We stayed for 2 days. Overall, aside from the negatives... it was clean, quiet and a clean smelling hotel. I would stay again, in a pinch for an overnight due to the immaculate cleanliness of the hotel but not as...
Read moreI stayed at this location for 3 nights while visiting family. My room came equipped with the typical double queen beds and a single bathroom. All of the typical amenities that you would expect were included in the room; microwave, mini-fridge, iron/ironing board, and blow-dryer. The Wi-Fi worked well with no issues for the duration of my stay. I did appreciate the furnishings, which are a step up from your typical affordable hotel chains. They have a bar attached and serve breakfast in the morning. I can't say anything about the bar in this review. However, I did eat the breakfast they offered. They have a breakfast buffet that is open to the public for $9.99, which is not bad for the price for any buffet. All of the food that I tried was prepared well. The staff was also very friendly and engaged with the customers while I was there. Downsides. There is a small gym on the first floor, but it was closed for the duration of my stay. I'm not sure what's going on with their parking situation, but I never figured out where everyone was supposed to park. There are 5 or 6 spots at the front of the hotel, and thats it. Overall, given the atmosphere and courtesy of the staff, i would stay...
