This was an incredibly pleasant hotel to stay at. I don't often stay at hotels, but a family emergency necessitated my need to visit my old hometown. The girls up front were very attentive and kind, especially Andrea who booked my reservation and got me a great deal. I spoke with one of the girls (Angel?) and found out the hotel has only been open for 10 months. It was very clean and new looking, so that was no surprise. The amenities were more than I expected, especially the dinner on offer for most of the weeknights, and the breakfast bar, which was far more extensive than I have seen at a choice hotel (even the one I worked in!).
The beds are VERY comfortable, with 2 choices of pillows (firm and soft, amazing!), and a heavenly comforter that I admit I wanted to take with me. The decor looked extremely tasteful, something I would choose in my own home (with exception of the carpet, but that's typical hotel carpet for you!). The TV was large and worked well, and the DirectTV access was unexpected and awesome. The bathroom was spotless, and also very luxurious looking with nice touches like the swing out mirror for close up use.
As for the property, everything was immaculate, there was a small gym I didn't get to visit, but from what I saw has the basic equipment, a good selection of weights, and a nice big TV. I did not get to see the pool, it was being cleaned by the time I had time to think about it. There is a guest laundry available that is (amazingly) free to use, which was really appreciated since I had been on the road several days and fresh clean clothes made my return trip so much better, although we discovered the hotel does not stock laundry soap in their small convenience "store" or in the vending machines (which might be good for future guests).
I know I'm forgetting something, but I can't think what. However, rest assured this is a wonderful hotel to stay at, not much of a view, but for the price, and the experience, I highly recommend this to...
Read moreA few days before our trip to Aztec New Mexico I had to find a hotel and after some research for a decent hotel I had the absolute pleasure of talking to Crystal. She is sweeter then peach pie! She was polite and informative, she single handedly sealed the deal for our stay at this hotel.
I flew in with my wife from North Carolina we had been up since 3am and had arrived a the hotel at around 1pm. My wife and I were exhausted and jet lagged and I was more or less expecting some hassle checking in. Though Angie made the check-in smooth and painless. We finally got to settle in at around 8pm after we got done with seeing my wifes relatives.
The room was very nice! Clean as can be and bed sheets n such were all clean too. The thermostat on the wall is simple to use and conditioner works great. The filters were spotless too! (I checked them) So nothin but fresh air being pumped out. Bathroom was clean darn near spotless which tells you they got some hard working folks here. Pressure in the shower is excellent and water gets hot quickly and stays hot which I like!
The morning we woke up we decided to try out the breakfest and I was rather impressed with the spread. I am used to muffins, eggs, waffles and cereal you know the usual cheap food. I was surprised yet again with biscuits n gravy, oatmeal, grits, eggs with bell peppers and chives, waffles with two batter selections (regular and cinnamon), bacon, home baked cinnamon rolls, and cereal! And its all you can eat! Food was simple, non-offensive, and good. They even changed up the selections in the mornings slightly so you could stay for a week like we did and not eat the same combination twice.
The service during out stay was exellent! Short staffed they maybe but short on excellence they are not. I recommend extended stays at this place for sure! Over all I was very pleased with our stay and next time we are out here we will be sure to...
Read moreWe stayed at Comfort Suites Farmington last week. We were very pleased witfh this hotel during our last visit in 2022, so we decided to stay there again. This time we were extremely disappointed. ||We spent two nights at the hotel. We had neighbors in the connecting room. Shortly after they had left we heard a machine in that room making a non-stop noise. Not very loud, but clearly audible. It sounded like a hot air blower. The machine was plugged into a socket in the hallway. Around 9pm the machine was still running..We don't pay $175 a night to listen to an annoying noise all night. So we asked the receptionist if the machine could at least be turned off at night. If not, we would just unplug it ourselves, The receptionist had to consult with her manager, but when we walked into the hallway a little later, the plug had been removed and they had plugged it into a socket in the room. When we went to the receptionist to ask what the manager had said, it turned out that he/she had only instructed her to plug it into the socket in the room. Nothing about turning off the machine at night. So we made it clear that we absolutely disagreed with the way they handled the situation. Ultimately, the receptionist walked off and unplugged it herself. When I thanked her for that, she just looked at me with a face so grumpy, it made Grumpy Cat look like a happy camper.||I really wonder what kind of a person is managing this hotel, but he/she surely missed the mark on good customer service. If only they would have unplugged the machine at our request, or if they would have given us another room, then this would have been a positive review. Sorry Comfort Suites, but next time we will check into Hampton or...
