I had to give a star to get my review posted, Daniel talks to you like u r stealing from him, i do work for seniors who i only charge materials, he charges $3 for cabinet knobs, that i can get new at Lowes (AT THAT TIME) for $1.19, he charges $5. for VHS tapes, and don't tell him you are paying with a credit card, he tells you how you are screwing him with the fee's he will be charged, ask him what the fee's are, he doesn't know, you tell him you feel like the prices are way to high, and you feel you are getting screwed, he tells you that its for charity, you should not feel like you are being screwed, ITS FOR CHARITY, his volunteers , have no say so on any prices, where he has put a price sticker on something, just daniel, and if he isn't there you have to call him. I remember him before the store on main street even opened, most times he was willing to deal on the DONATED materials, now he talks like he bought and brought everything to the store, and if he waits long enough he will get his price, no helping the people who really need the items, or the people who cannot afford to buy the items new. Here is what is what HABITAT FOR HUMANITY States about themself; Habitat for Humanity Restores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture , appliances , home accessories, building materials and more to the public AT A FRACTION OF THE RETAIL PRICE,
A fraction of the cost, Daniel acts like every sell should pay his salary, i am really disappointed in the store and i really dislike being talked down to because i cannot afford his prices and i really dislike being talked to disrespectfully because i try to talk him down to where i can afford it, and have him smile and talk to you like you are a thief trying to pick his pocket, i have sent seniors to his store, most say some prices are reasonable, but some are high, and if they ask about getting the item at a different price, the manager spends alot of time telling them how expensive it is to run that store, its like he is trying to guilt you into paying a higher price, i have had him descibed back to me as a used car sales man, none of the other donation stores have talked to or treated like he does, and i dicker with all of them on prices, i have to, i cannot afford new, and things need fixed or replaced, i am done with the habitat store, i do not need to be treated like that by anyone, and to have him smile at you like he is joking and you know he isnt, makes it even worse.
UPDATE, i recently stopped in at habitate and Daniel is gone, the staff are nice and easy to talk to now, a...
Read moreDaniel was super helpful and communicative, both about purchasing from the store and how to make donations. Great prices - I got a neat little glass top bistro set really cheap. He says they will pick up donations within a few days too... I really like this place. They work really hard to keep stuff out of the landfill - have a good selection of small items as well as cabinets, doors, furniture - I would recommend shopping here and...

Tons of parts and equipment for sprinkler systems. Very reasonably priced furniture in very good condition. Always a handful of stoves available...
