It’s 4am and I’ll tell you why I’m still awake. Hoping to resolve this issue with staff. Hilton honors a 100% guarantee or another night. I hope we can get honor. Check in was great. I was looking for a quiet spot to sleep and retreat. I did not request a ADA room until the room next to us kept slamming their door nonstop. I timed it. 10x within minutes or more. I felt like I was at the Berlin Turnpike motel which is why I wanted to stay at this nicer hotel. For hours the door was slamming in and out past 10:30 until I had enough. 11pm I had to drag my sleeping son into another room. Quiet hours weren’t respected. I explained to the front desk I would like to switch room’s because now my disability was activated. I was scared it’s 4am I’m sleeping with the lights on. They told me they were out of ADA rooms. They could not find a quiet place or regulate the people staying here. All night like a college frat house. The amount of money spent should be respected. Training might need to be in place because it is the law to make sure rooms are available. The front desk afford a room with a louder AC. A louder AC can worsen conditions and doesn’t help. Beautiful hotel. Just horrified at the noise level at all hours. I came here to be safe and that was taken away. I came here for comfort and now feel traumatized. Heard random knocks on my door. It was a disaster. I hope again that this can be fixed. I won’t come back. It is the law to accommodate ADA regulations. I did not feel safe. I’ve been in flight, fright mood for hours along with other symptoms due to this. My heart racing. Tears and disappointment this was supposed to be a treat. If you plan on being fully book ADA accommodations must be available. Have rooms available for the people. Disabilities require different accommodation for certain medical conditions. They were not met. And why am I hearing some lady yelling this hour. Go to bed. Be respectful. Now update the guy is yelling at 5am. What is happening to the type of guests? I’m upset but I’m not yelling at 5am with a woman.
Another upsetting thing since we were scrambling to get into another room, my son left his Nintendo. Front desk verified another staff member entered after we exited. Highly disappointing, unacceptable, I cannot imagine someone would take a child’s Nintendo. Like I wouldn’t notice. We checked the room everywhere and are current room. Hilton please correct this.
Hilton please make this right. I stay at nicer hotels with an expectation. And please 🙏 these laws and regulations are in place for a reason. Department of Justice and District Attorney help enforcing this. I will be giving an update hoping for positive outcome.
Update: Manager was hostile did not make things right. I had to call the police to report the missing Nintendo. I was shaking leaving due to her lack of compassion making things right. They refunded my money which I I did not agree too. She says she understands disabilities but left me crying walking out. Her attitude was disgusting. I've never had such horrible customer service. She also cannot control noise in her words. Department of Justice is gonna love this. I've never seen such ignorant behavior. I walked out crying. You should be ashamed.
Your response was fake as hell replying. You were rude off the bat in person. You didn't make things right. Sure didn't speak to me that way. Don't worry you gotta look in the mirror What happened. Lied straight up on Google. Terrible place. Your just mad cause I you didn't like the review. Sorry I fight...
Read moreI am a diamond member and have traveled the country staying at predominantly Hilton hotels, and this is the very first Hilton I have ever stayed at where I was sitting in my room, teaching my class online, when the entire room shook, and my hypermobile joints shifted and flared with agony. My right elbow did not sublux, but it almost did and it is an excruciating pain today. I don’t know how many weeks it will be before this calms down and everything is stable again.
O have Ehlers Danlos syndrome, and part of the reason I normally stay at Hilton hotels because it’s predictable. I know what to look for, and I know what to ask for, and I’m usually not allergic to the detergent that used on the bedding.
When I checked in, I told the friendly woman named Peta that I needed a room that was not near an elevator or HVAC unit or pump or anything that causes vibration because my joints are fragile due to a medical condition (it’s like brittle bones, but it’s your joints, not your bones).
She was super gracious, and she gave me a room that was so quiet and peaceful and I felt really grateful and I started teaching my class.
I was just about to wrap up when I heard a loud bang and my hips and my feet and my back and my neck felt vibration. Go all the way through it as the whole room literally shook. I called downstairs immediately and I asked what that was. They said they would send someone up to look.
I am pretty darn sure it was somebody slamming a door.
Most hotels have doors on hinges that slowly close them, so it is physically impossible for anyone to slam a door. I think I’m just flabbergasted that there is a hotel where it is possible for someone to slam a door that forcefully, and these are heavy doors. That’s the only reason I can imagine it could shake a whole room like that, And cause noise and disruption to someone next to that room.
In any case, I will never stay here again, and I will add to my list of things to look for, the fact that doors have hinges that cannot slam.
It is also a little frustrating that I booked with points and it’s going to be a process to get those points back.
The service was great and everyone was friendly, so I don’t have a problem with that. The rooms were clean and beautiful and otherwise it was very quiet. I was super happy. But that is intolerable and it has caused me injury physically and I’ve never had anything like that happen as I said, I’ve traveled to all but three states staying at Hilton hotels. I’m...
Read moreThis place had such great ratings elsewhere. To be honest, it has beautiful architecture and appeal! However, a few things make me rate this location at about 3.5 stars when compared amongst other Hampton Inn & Suites across the country. My stay was from 01/21 - 01/24
We'll start with the Con's :
1- Staff Pleasantness of the staff is 50/50 ( I stayed for 3 nights and got a pretty good reading) This rating is about even amongst front desk and housekeeping. 2- Amenities At this location, only a small fraction of rooms include a mini fridge and microwave oven (An amenity that normally comes standard in each room at Hampton Inn & Suites) 3- Location ( as it relates to convenience for shopping and food commerce) is not the best. If you'd like to relax and not have to travel over 20 minutes for shopping/dining, maybe look into a separate location (Unless you don't mind the travel & food delivery fees) 4- Fees The security hold for this location is $100. $100 is a bit high when compared to other Hampton Inn & Suites and I couldn't find a reason to justify this inflation during my stay.
5- Noise Level Though there was much I enjoyed about this stay, there were times I could hardly sleep. Between the slamming staff doors and loud staff chit chat in the hallways, I found myself with a pillow over my head for a few nights in a row.
Pro's
1- Breakfast This location offers a delicious breakfast each morning of your stay. Though you won't find it buffet style as was offered pre-covid, you'll be happy to know that you are provided a menu which to order from and can pick up your breakfast in the morning while still social distancing.
2- Amenities The pool, gym, and business center are open for use at this location. The gym has a 2 person limit and the pool has a 10 person limit. In order to use the pool, you have to reserve a time with the front desk, but make sure to plan ahead! The pool was such a hot commodity during my stay that we couldn't get a time slot at all.
3- Cleanliness As with other Hampton Inn & Suites, the Cleanliness at this location is impeccable. There is hand sanitizer everywhere and all rooms come with a Lysol clean guarantee of sorts.
4- Location This is a secluded location. If you're looking to get away from the city and into a more serene surrounding, this would be a great choice! Just make sure you request a room on the second floor or above to avoid hearing guests/staff outside...
