Update, didn't realize this was the same disaster I stayed at 2 years ago until I walked into the room and it all came back.. still filthy. Today the bathroom floor is filthy and they left a dirty towel hanging on the door. Toilet gross. No cleaning here, much less covid clean. 2 yrs ago-Started out a 5 Star as Keith was so wonderful on the phone when I called for a room and he found us a better deal than any travel site. We are Best Western Reward members. Liked the large, well decorated room. We have stayed here in the past and will probably next year on our return to the area. The breakfast is great and the waitress very knowledgeable about my gluten allergy. Check out crew great. BUT I walk in feeling really good and find towels that look like there is a bloody handprint on them. Freaked me out all night. Both wash cloth and hand towel and the smear was across both and stopped at the fold. It was not an old stain. I couldn't ask for another room as was told this was the last ground floor room available and the stairs are too painful for me. I kept going back trying to tell myself it wasn't what I thought but I kept seeing a hazmat disaster. We got a weird count on towels, 5 bath and 3 each washcloth and handtowel so someone was distracted. Perhaps because they injured themselves? Then I climb into bed and find black hair. Mine is white. Needless to say I didn't get much rest. How much more filth that I couldn't see? Staff was apologetic and sympathetic but no one offered to discount our room when I took the towels to the office this morning. Now I think the person could have been sweating bad and used both towels to wipe a face full of make up. Still, why am I dealing with their germs? Yuck! 5...
Read moreBelieve it or not we drove up from St George to stay at this hotel. My son-in-law and his little sister had great memories there, growing up they would stay there many times with their father when they drove between st. George and Salt Lake. My daughter called beforehand to make sure everything was in working order as far as the hot tub and pool goes. She was told that everything was perfect. We get there all excited to hop into the "heated" pool. The pool was bearable, and the jacuzzi was freezing. The Weeknd employee was Unapologetic, the maintenance man came in with a total attitude, which I get no one wants to come in at night time when I'm sure he was home, but it's frustrating to be a paying customer and have to deal with an employee's attitude. He told us it would take all night to heat. So disappointed we went back to the hotel room, the beds are comfortable and we were able to get a roll-out bed since there were five of us. However we woke up in the morning with ants in the sheets! With several disappointing events including the breakfast we were excited to get in the hot tub before we had to head back home. But, we were disappointed when it was colder than the night before. The front desk clerk in good morning was friendly and able to get us a discount which happened to be after the ants but before the second disappointment of the hot tub. When asked to speak with the manager, she was unavailable. We left feeling disappointed. We try to call to speak with a manager a couple of times after we got home but "no one knew how to get a hold of her or when she would be in". I gave two stars because we were given a discount,...
Read moreBreakfast was an industrial strength dumpster fire. The hotel room was fine, front desk person was pleasant, but the breakfast situation needs a major overhaul, and from reading the other reviews, this is not a new situation. When you enter the restaurant, there is a sign that tells you to wait for the hostess to seat you. When we entered, there were four other, very impatient groups ahead of us, who told us they had waited at least 20 minutes. I waited 10 minutes then walked into the dining room to try to find the hostess. No luck. I waited some more. Three of the four groups walked out in disgust. A "new" group just walked in, seated themselves, and were waited on by the hostess/waitress. Several of the groups waiting in the entry room walked up to the hostess and complained. She told us to just sit down anywhere. She was obviously way overworked, but reading some of the other reviews, it appears that this is pretty much par for the course. 20 minutes later some of the seated groups had already walked out. 30 minutes later we had coffee, but the hostess/waitress had no idea when our food would be ready. When the food finally arrived it was surprisingly good. ||The night before we were driving through and pulled into Fillmore because of snow, without reservations, so I told my wife we would pick the Best Western because "they are always better" than the other chain in town. Next time I'll read the reviews before I automatically assume Best Western means quality.||The management cuts and pastes a boilerplate "Sorry we didn't live up to your explanations" response. Don't bother, just fix your...
