They call this a resort? It’s more like a trashy trailer park! I booked this site based on the website and amenities. Thousand trials sites we have stayed at have been nice so we wanted to give it a try. We have family in the area and plan to come back often for visits. At booking, we requested a paved and pull through RV site. When we showed up, the site was overgrown grass with debris and tree branches all over. It was an a back in - not what we requested. The fire pit had caution tape on it and the picnic table was old and in disrepair. There was an open paved site nearby that was empty all weekend so I was confused about why we didn’t get what we paid for. The trailers with long term campers are unkempt with garbage all around making it look really dodgy. The bathrooms are filthy, smell terrible and have standing water and bugs in them. Thankfully we have an RV with our own facilities! There are lots of older cottages that look like they need some serious TLC. The place has potential but it’s not living up to it and I only wish I had more thoroughly read the reviews. The second day we were here a lawn crew came through with a weed whacker right near our plumbing and electrical! When I tried to get the guy’s attention to not blow grass all over my unit and possibly damage my equipment, he paid me no attention. I called the office and a manager was supposed to call me, they never did. Upon checking out, I went to the office to speak to someone and give them the feedback, they told me because I didn’t book directly through them, that’s why I didn’t get what I requested and that if I rebooked, I should do it directly through them. They took zero accountability and basically didn’t do anything but look at me with a blank stare. Not even an apology. They told me they would send it to management but based on the fact the manager never called back yesterday, I had little confidence. The staff seemed indifferent about our experience and when I told them we wouldn’t be back, they could care less! Terrible customer service! Would not recommend this to anyone who is looking for a “resort experience”!

I stayed here for a week with a 43ft fifth wheel RV. Had an overall decent stay. First let’s clarify that this is not a resort. The quality of grounds and amenities are not resort style and there are no other offerings. The RV sites and roads are inconsistent. Some roads are gravel, other sand and some paved. Some RV sites are paved, some dirt and sand and some are just grass. Looks messy and disorganized. We settled in a space that fit us okay and were overall satisfied considering some of the spots we saw. Part of the campground seems to be residential and there were many structures there- some trailer homes and some RV left to rot or perhaps still habitable as I saw a few dogs chained outside on some properties. The section where temporary guest park is somewhat better maintained. The pool looked to be very clean and the area around it tidy. The laundry room looked clean. The activity center only opens in the evenings and mostly older folks hang out there for bingo. There are no kid or family friendly amenities or activities. The location is okay with being in the middle between Daytona Beach and Saint Augustine. Nice neighbourhoods near by and shopping centers where you can get everything you need. Beware of the roads with sand here. We watched a Class A for 3 hours trying to dig out of a sand ditch they got stuck in while backing into their spot. We never met or interacted with staff while here. We did enjoy the short walking trail and the big trees. Overall we would not return here unless we absolutely need to make a stop in this area.

I really did enjoy staying here because it was so peaceful and quiet. I love how that there was a great way to go to the ocean or go in the opposite direction to all the major stores. I will say, though that their office staff is not good. One lady is friendly and the others could care less about what you want or need. One time I went in there to ask a question and there was a toddler running around with toys everywhere. This didn’t bother me but what did bother me was that the lady behind the counter could care less about why I came in and only seemed to care about paying attention to what the kid was that she was babysitting rather than what I ( a paying guest) needed. They even gave me the wrong information on where to park and it was a whole mess for almost a week before I could figure out the correct direction from the maintenance man. There are two maintenance guys there and both of them are very friendly and helpful. It’s hard to judge everything else because this was only a few weeks after a recent hurricane and I know they got hit pretty hard with tornadoes. The pool and laundry room were nice and clean. Would I go again? Yes. Do I consider it a very nice resort? No. It definitely borderlines on a “trailer park” rather than a resort.

We really have liked this park in the past, so this stay was quite the disappointment. Our site had glass in many areas, chicken bones, and a rusty razor blade there when we pulled in. As well as the site right next to us being covered in glass. We called the maintenence line and was told they only deal with electric and water issues. We said we could clean it up ourselves and they said we do whatever we needed to for it be safe for our kids and dog. We were instructed to take picnic tables and flip them upside own over the glass and put a fire pit over the other glass area. The razer blade we carefully threw away. We were told it wasn't a big deal amd that in all the years of working in the camp, this was the first time they had heard of glass and so it wasn't a big deal. I said it was a safety and health concern. I was then told the park was understaffed and they didn't have time to deal with it. The maintenence person also said that it was dark and so he couldn't come over. We pulled in at 5pm. It was not dark or even dusk. He said that he would need to take the tractor to the site. Not once did we see anyone come over and deal with the glass. A class A pulled in and he was incredibly frustrated. He was told the tractor would be brought in and they moved him to another site. We never saw anyone come. The last day of our stay, which we cut early by a week, the cleaning lady came by and we told her about the glass. She promptly dealt with thr biggest pieces and attended to everything in the most professional manner. We were very impressed by her response. Other issues on our stay included the shower house not having hot water. We used the further away house, and while that was nice to still have water, it was dirty with cobwebs and trash in the shower stalls. For such an incredibly beautiful park and so close to so many wonderful attractions, we were very disappointed. We have loved our previous stays through the years. It was clear the park was lacking staffing and not being kept well. This is genuinely so sad. For being so close to great attractions and being so historic and beautiful, this was a really big bummer. We left...

Made reservations for December 28, 2024 through February 28, 2025.

The challenge with this facility is that they have as many long-term residents as campers. With one road in to the facility all of the 7 and 8 AM workers in their turbo charged diesel trucks speed through the entrance. Walking is nearly impossible, even with speed bumps four-wheel-drive truck speed through at 40 to 50 miles an hour. Biking is like playing Frogger on interstate 95. There is no Internet service. The Wi-Fi available at guest laundry works at Best 50% of the time. A large number of the maintenance staff actually live in the resident portion of the facility, engaging in fraternity parties in the late hours of Friday and Saturday night. Bathroom and shower facilities have a key code that is never enforced. Non-residents routinely drive through the resort to use the dump station during non-business hours.

It feels unsafe to walk and unsafe to ride a bike anywhere in the resort. The backside of the resort is populated by old trailers on axles and resembles more of a meth lab than vacation spot. During our stay, a resident was arrested for driving under the influence with drugs as they cleared out 50 meters of fencing on the entrance road.

To make us feel safe the Flagler sheriff department is on the facility every day driving through the resident portion of the resort and spending a couple of hours at the laundry facility. Things that make you wanna say what’s going on here?

Outside of dodging bullets and rambunctious hillbillies in four-wheel-drive trucks, we enjoyed watching Al the alligator sunbathe his 6 foot body on the canal Banks,. Careful with your little puppies.

If your dream vacation is a breaking bad scenario, this resort is for you. We really...
