I had an amazing experience at the Inn at Buckhorn Cove. The room I booked was not only clean and comfortable, but it also came with a charming fireplace that added to the cozy ambiance. The location right on Route 1 was incredibly convenient, granting easy access to Mendocino town and various other attractions.

However, there's one crucial tip I'd like to share: make sure to receive an email from the host with all the check-in details, including the entry code, prior to your arrival. This is essential because the inn lacks a front desk for check-in, and the area has limited mobile coverage. The host, Amy, is an absolute lifesaver and incredibly helpful, so reaching out to her is a breeze if you're in need.

We stayed in the Zen suite with our dog. The experience was cozy, clean, comfortable and dog friendly. The suite is very private and quiet. We had an excellent view of the sunset from our room’s bay window. We also saw plenty of wildlife outside, including birds and a deer that ran by.||The suite has a full kitchen with all the necessities, though the smoke detector went off every time we cooked. Wifi signal was flakey but worked well enough for us to go online and look up restaurants and destinations. There are no cell reception in the area and no business nearby in walkable distance. Heat is provided by a gas fireplace with a “smart” thermostat in a remote control. The jacuzzi tub is huge with plenty of room for two people. The shower is on the small side.||Check-in is at their main property 4 miles away; they don’t have anyone on site.
