First off I usually stay at Hampton Inn, that night they were full and recommended Comfort Inn. I didn't mind as I know people who work for Choice Hotels. I arrived and asked if they had rooms available because my daughter and I were tired from driving all evening. I told Adan, the desk clerk that they were recommended by Hampton Inn. Adan said that they had rooms available. I said excellent I need one with two beds. He takes a minute and says the only room I have available as were pretty full is an Executive King Suite. The sofa has a hide a bed. I asked if they had a military rate and he said that was possible. I paid for the room and didn't argue with the price although very expensive for the hotel. I was optimistic as they had won the Platinum Award which having friends with company knew wasn't easy to obtain. I got my daughter, and we saw another family getting room as well it made me wonder if I had just been ripped off as Adan told me that my room was the only one he had. My daughter and I went to our room #156, not a very nice room looked dated, and furniture was scratched, and the carpet was not clean looking. My daughter wanted to shower, and she did, and she said the bathroom was disgusting. I walked in and well, I've been in gas station bathrooms that were in better condition than this bathroom. The painted stucco over wall paper was peeling and had mildew all over it; there was water damage to the walls around the toilet. Wall paper was peeling above the toilet and a hole in the wall above the light switch. I refused to shower in there as I have a lung condition and didn't want to inhale whatever it was growing on the walls. I was going to call and have our room switched, but we were tired, and at this point, I didn't trust Adan. We went to sleep and got up for breakfast and arrived at breakfast at 6:40 the selection was decent, but there wasn't a drop of coffee to be had, and it had only been open for 10 minutes. No breakfast attendant to be found, so I went to the lobby to see if there was coffee there and where it was the night before there was nothing, not even a desk clerk. We began eating at about 6:50 an attendant came in I immediately told her that there is no coffee she went to verify and left. She never returned while we finished. We went back to our room and grabbed our belongings took a picture of the bathroom damage and went to check out. No clerk was available. I turned around when I saw the breakfast clerk checking on food and wiping down our table. I walked over handed her our room keys and said were checking out, she looked lost and didn't say anything as I was leaving I saw another employee coming from another area of the hotel she was professionally dressed, and as I was passing through the doors, she said have a nice day. We got in our car in search of coffee and drove the remaining 4 hours home. This hotel should be ashamed of its self not only was it overpriced for the area (hotels in Denver are cheaper) It was disgusting, and customer service was non-existent. This hotel should be stripped of its Platinum Award immediately unless the standard of obtaining the award has become mute. I'd appreciate an apology, perhaps even a partial refund. I have pictures if you're interested in seeing them. I am hoping this complaint is seen by Choice Hotels. I also wish I could rate...

And she make the best cookies 🍪 😀
Now let's get to the disappointing situation I've been there for a week still there now don't leave till Friday every day this week since we checked in on Sunday we've had pork as breakfast sausage Canadian pork bacon Canadian rap bacon pork Mexican wraps and then you have the normal stuff which is cold your bagels muffins and some fruit and yogurt oh but you also have waffles however people that don't eat pork we will want you to offer more options and everybody don't consume pork you can have turkey bacon if you want bacon or beef bacon but some people don't eat pork and then there's a problem of cross contamination with the utensils because some of the guess decide to use one utensil for everything so the attendant isn't there constantly attending the station or the breakfast room she shouldn't have to adults should know how to serve themselves but due to that fact of the cross-contamination I got sick one day. so sick the only thing I ate was a bagel with cheese and egg apparently the utensil had to be used with the bacon I mean the Canadian ham that day because it was boiled and I threw up all day after that and no I'm not pregnant but I'm definitely aware of what I eat and how I eat cleanliness is a fact and cross-contamination is definitely a factor in my case. so I would say be careful when you guys are eating or planning to eat at certain places where you stay because it may not even be the place that gets you sick it may be the people inside of the place that gets you sick. As a guest who's spending money and I'm literally there for work as an engineer you definitely will want to not have every consecutive day with pork especially if your a person like myself and like to cover all bases I even went to the staff and asked them can you tell me if you're going to have pork all weekend and they said they have pork all week I said is there any days you're not going to have Pork no we serve pork all the time so which means if you're a Muslim or a Jew or a vegan person you are not going to have a great time at this particular comfort inn in Colorado fort Morgan because they only serve pork for breakfast however they say that they get the breakfast from the hotel next door which happens to be a rodeway inn which is also connected to the Mav restaurant. Just be careful.... Sincerely a...
Read moreI am always impressed with THIS Comfort Inn especially!!! ....and we stay at choice hotels a lot! It is very very clean, very comfortable bed, love the little rubber ducky! the set up is so cute! The breakfast is always great too! The time prior to this time when we stayed I did a Facebook post ...a reel about how great it was. And told people to stop there and try it sometime! It is a great spot to stop when we go to Colorado. I do need to say there was a couple things this last time that I need to mention. I was going to do another post for this comfort inn... but... Upon arriving no one was at the desk. I waited and waited and then called the front desk while there. Someone answered and I explained I was at the front desk. They said I am so sorry I will be right there. My husband came in to see if I was alright even... lol. When she came she apologized and said she had to run to someone's room about the TV. Don't get me wrong I understand. We are business owners as well for over 30 years. More than one business and we understand trying to find help these days can be challenging so may have been short handed. I wasn't upset about it. But the second thing.... I still have not heard back about this issue. I forgot my electric tooth brush in the room. Called 3 times... I realized it when we arrived at out next destination the next day that i left it. 100% sure. They have been telling me they don't think anyone found it but not sure. I understand if it was just a toothbrush... but this was a nice electric one. We told them we would be back through on Monday and would pick it up. But they still did not have it. Today it's been a week and no tooth brush. We will be going back through for work in Colorado again in another week. And we will see. But it is a Very nice hotel. Just hope they come up with my electric toothbrush. ...
