Positives, the Mav taproom is next door which has excellent food and drink options and the little OJs at breakfast were a nice touch. The grounds are well kept and overall the place was a nice place to be.
Negative, everything else. I am sure if we had not had issues with our air con then this would have been a perfectly fine stay however.....
One of our rooms air-conditioning was broken and given it was almost 100f outside the room was subsequently even warmer. We notified the front desk who sent staff to see if they could fix the issue, which they were unable.
There were no other double queens available so we were kindly offered a single king and a fan for the room. The fan never materialised so a second room was offered, now this is where it gets interesting....
The manager of the hotel began phoning our rooms at 1:30am, then attempting and in some cases gaining unauthorised entry to rooms while we were sleeping DEMANDING payment for the additional rooms we were offered (note there was no indication this would incur any additional charge) and threatening to throw us out in the early hours. 15 unauthorised payment attempts were made on our original booking card and it turns out we were also overcharged in the first place...
In no way is the manager's behaviour acceptable given that the original room provided was unsuitable, to then be harassed in the middle of the night demanding payment and subsequently threatened. I feel sorry for the staff who provided us the additional rooms as I can only guess they have been disciplined for doing what myself and anyone else would perceive as doing the right thing.
Just to note the air con unit was replaced in the morning so surely that's an admission with respect to the suitability of the room that we were given?!
There was nothing to gain from this behaviour and this was hands down the worst most infuriating motel experience I have had in ten years of spending time in the US.
Names have been taken and Hotels.com and Rodeway Inn have been contacted, avoid this motel at all costs until a new manager is appointed or has had some serious training and lessons in...
Read moreWe have never had issues staying here. We actually decided to go out of our way to drive back and stay at this location. I booked 3 nights. One reservation for 8-8-2021 to 8-9-2021 and another reservation for 2 days 8-9-2021 to 8-11-2021. We are diamond members and I decided to prepay this room since I had never had problems in the past. However this morning 8/10/2021 i woke up to stiff muscles and itchiness. I have 10+ bites on me. One softball sized with the swelling on my upper bicep. I brought it to managements attention requesting a refund for my two nights stay of 145.00 or one night and a room change since I would have to clean my luggage and possibly seek a doctor for infection.. Dyanira refused to refund me for the night I already stayed because "housekeepers had to clean the room for an hour" well I booked a 2 night stay and we already requested housekeeping not enter the room due to the issue. I also clean my rooms before checkout. She told me that because they found nothing she was refusing a refund. They refused to move us rooms due to our "bad experience" and requested we leave the property. I asked her why I was getting this taken out on me when I had been nothing but polite until this point and I felt she was being unreasonable and unprofessional. She would not respond. Finally she agreed to refund me both nights. (The one I had stayed and the one pending today) but that we would no longer be welcome on any of their properties. I again asked her why. Her response was basically because she can. I did not do anything to her. I did not deserve to be treated that poor after a bad experience. My advice. Get a new manager she sucks. How can we be booted from a property for having a bad experience. Absolutely wrong.
Updated to add i did need to go to an acute care and do have cellulitus with antibiotics...
Read moreSince we got in Fort Morgan CO We first met Shawna who works at the Conoco Outpost Truck Stop on Barlow Road who was helpful and nice on suggestion of letting us park our truck at the truck stop and walk next door to the motel at Comfort Inn. We then met Katelyn at Comfort Inn who also was super nice and helpful and called Janessa at the Rodeway Inn since we had a small dog, and Comfort Inn didn't accept pets. We check in at The Rodeway Inn and Janessa also told us we could park our truck and trailer at the end of the parking lot, and we also were able to get a room along with our Jack Russell Terrier dog, Buster. After we check-in the motel we went to the restaurant The Maverick's which is attached to The Rodeway Inn. Great food, we had two great servers Lisa and Sara. From Shawna at Conoco Outpost, Katelyn at Comfort Inn, Janessa at Rodeway Inn, Sara and Lisa at The Maverick's Restaurant these ladies all went all above the call of duty and all had great Customer Service. We have never been to Fort Morgan CO before but if all the people in this town are like these ladies it is worth the stop and you will want to come back. We greatly appreciate every effort and these ladies sure has made our business stay worth while and we look forward in coming back. Thanks for great customer service and all working to help us in getting a room where trucks can park and allow pets. Also the Rodeway Inn felt like a 5 star hotel, had all the ammendies and comfort you could ever ask for. A+ ladies. Thanks Again. P.S. The Conoco Outpost restrooms were very clean, nothing like you see at other truck stops. Fort Morgan CO is a wonderful town with...
