Needing a hotel temporarily while moving to a new house, Red Roof Inn was the cheapest and with it being a Dog friendly hotel was even better! In fact, this Red Roof Inn boasts there is NO extra charge for your furry Family member because at the Red Roof Inn they know Dog's are Family too!! Thier pool is crystal clear and looks so inviting however, I haven't had a chance to go in yet. I did notice they have quite a few work trucks and Van's and when I walk my Dog you often see Men just hanging out on the 2nd floor, singularly not in groups and as a Woman I felt a bit uncomfortable because they all watch me while walking my Dog. I know thier harmless but I didn't like being watched. I would definitely like to give a big shout out to the Maid's and Maintenance Man, they couldn't be more friendly (although some speak very little English), the Woman always smile and seem to really like thier jobs here. And since we've been here for a few days now, they all know me as I told them I will change my bedding and clean the room myself. So everyday about the same time in the afternoon I scoop up all our used towels, and our trash bags and walk down to thier Washer/Dryer/Cart room and they give me all clean sheets, towels, toilet paper ect. I wish I knew thier names but they don't wear name tags. Now as to why I gave only a 4 star rating. On our 1st night my Son saw a cockroach running along the dresser and managed to kill it thank God! I hate Cockroaches and I was hoping it just managed to come in the door BUT wishful thinking because last night while watching a movie on the nice flat screen TV I saw movement in my peripheral vision, and I look to see another Cockroach running on the wall toward the TV! I grabbed my flip flop and ran over an killed it but damn, now I know if you see 1 or 2 there are hundreds you can't see! I forgot to report this to the front desk until writing this review and will do so when I'm done here! This hotel is well worth the $53 a night. The beautiful pool, it's Dog friendly (and no charge), it's right on US 1 in Ft. Pierce minutes from PSL, Jensen Bch., to the South or North to Vero Bch.! The rooms are clean (a minor bug problem), an over sized fridge with small freezer compartment, and a Microwave. The rooms have wood flooring and they have flat screen TV's that are Direct TV and HBO is free! You can also request a Smoking room. They don't offer Coffee makers in the room but it's available at the front office. There are no blow dryers, or Iron but for $53 I don't mind. If ever I'm in need of a Hotel stay again I would definitely look at a Red...
Read moreWhen I stayed at this Red Roof Inn I chose the king premium suite with jacuzzi. Upon entering the room it is absolutely beautiful very large a huge jacuzzi tub and works very well it has two refrigerators food items and cold drinks that you would like. Now for the downfall of the room the room is a very large room with plenty of room there was no closet that would close for your clothes. It only had a two drawer dresser for your clothes. The TV for the size of the room and the fact that it is a jacuzzi suite and the money that you pay for the TV should have been much larger it was probably only a 32 inch it should have been at least 50. The biggest downfall that Red Roof in half is when you stay on the second floor there is no elevator you must log all of your belongings up to the second floor via the steps. If you have a lot of items and they are heavy such as mine were it makes it very difficult to love them up the stairs now with that being said I must say that the front desk clerk that was working at the time of my arrival was named Escobar and he was very friendly and very helpful he even walked to my van when I parked and unloaded my van for me and took my luggage up he could see that I had a disability and a service dog and he'll handle all of my life I didn't even have to lift a finger what a nice young man that was and very helpful. Overall I would have to say I do like red it is certainly in a good location it was a nice hotel in great condition and the room was amazing so even without the dresser drawers and the TV and the closet I may do because of the jacuzzi tub and the bed was very comfortable large king size bed and two nightstands by the way. Anyway I would certainly recommend this to anyone just keep in mind there's no closet and you only got a couple drawers to put your stuff in but other than that it's well worth it. Price could have been adjusted I think a little but other than that...
Read moreSo...do yourself a favor, and just spend the extra money to get the quality that you deserve! This place is strictly about getting your money, and will not take care of you, if you have an issue. We stayed here for a couple of days, and immediately when we got in the room, there was a roach crawling on the ceiling above our heads. I immediately informed the front desk, and they said "oh ok, I'll let Management know tomorrow when they get in". Ok, no problem there, they gave me a semi discount due to the fact we're staying for a couple of days. But then, the next night, having my daughter on the floor to move around, we saw a HUGE COCKROACH, and needless to say, we were disgusted!!!! So after reporting this issue, they basically told us, oh this is nothing, they come from outside....😳😳😳. So, nothing done there, and the last night's experience was the worst of them all. Whoever the guest were, had some drama going on with each other at 2 am, and someone ended up calling the police, because they were fighting & arguing, and supposedly one of the guest almost O-D'ed himself in the room!!!! 😳😳😳😳 This kept us up all night with 7 cops outside of our door and us not getting back to sleep until about 5am!!!! So after me complaining about this, the GM basically told me that it seems I have an issue with everything, and that maybe it's best I don't stay there....🤨🤨🤨! So... basically my expectations, we're too high, and they'd rather me just accept their mediocrity or take my business somewhere else! But the beauty is that my money will spend anywhere... and if I could give you a...
