Arrived solo 8-23-25. Had this placed saved on my Google maps recommended from TikTok. Early am flight arrival to Denver, I hit the backroads to Buena Vista. Had no game plan for a place to stay. Won’t lie, was hesitant to staying since I had never stayed in a yurt. I booked last minute online and SO GLAD I did. Upon arrival, I was greeted my a super nice gentleman. This whole place is more than I expected. Enjoyed meeting other guests. Later that night, rain came during the ā€œsmoresā€ where they set out the goodies around the fire. Couple of the guests including a young child and myself headed over to the big tent where there was games to play. Not much lighting so we made a homemade camp light bright enough to play various games. We had a BLAST! Very glad to see this young boy not glued to videos or cell phone. There was a section for rock painting. The rain did not get in my yurt. It was a lil cooler than I expected at night. I didn’t pack much warm items as I flew into CO. Never thought I would be ā€œsorta campingā€. Extra blanket would have been helpful. Fresh wood was placed at each camp-spot. There was a couple of cool looking small buildings (not sure what to call them) if you didn’t want to stay in a yurt. Within walking distance was the river. Showers and restrooms were immaculate including misc hygiene items if needed. Sauna on site. The breakfast in the am was set up very nicely. All hot items were made to each persons liking. I very much enjoyed my one night last minute stay. Will stay again when back in the area. Buena Vista was a 5 min...

The coolest outdoor family experience we've ever had! My wife and I have two kids who’ve been begging to go camping for ages, and we finally made it happen — and wow, did Colorado Base Camps deliver! We stumbled across this gem while searching for a cabin on Airbnb, and it exceeded our expectations exponentially. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the attention to detail. The managers clearly put a ton of thought into making the yurt camping experience both comfortable and unforgettable. The yurts were spotless, cozy, and packed with games and amenities that kept our kids entertained for hours. The property itself is stunning — surrounded by breathtaking views of 14,000+ ft mountains and just minutes from the Arkansas River. There are multiple fire pits, including a gas fire pit with heated seats (yes, heated seats!) where they host nightly s’mores for the kids. It’s such a thoughtful touch that made our evenings magical. There’s a ton to do for all ages — games, activities, and just the right amount of adventure. And don’t even get me started on the breakfast… absolutely delicious! If you're looking for an authentic Colorado outdoor experience with kind, helpful staff and a place that’s perfect for making lifelong family memories, this is it. We’ll definitely be coming back countless times in the future. You have to stay here — it’s truly amazing...

A Perfect Glamping Getaway in Buena Vista!

Our stay at Colorado Basecamp was absolutely incredible! The beautiful high desert surroundings, the cozy accommodations, and the outstanding hospitality made this stay glamping at its finest!

The yurts were clean, comfortable, and just the right mix of rustic and luxurious. Waking up to the fantastic hot breakfast each morning was a treat (honestly, it felt restaurant-quality)! The evening s’mores station was such a fun touch, with a lit fire ready for us and all the fixings.

The bathhouse was spacious, immaculately clean, and so well-appointed. We loved that the showers included towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. No need to pack the little things!

The lighted path down to the Arkansas River brought us to a shady spot where we could cool off while watching the rafters go by. At night, the dark skies offered breathtaking starry views.

What really made our stay special, though, was the amazing staff, especially Leslie, the camp host. She was friendly, helpful, and downright wonderful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic experience. The entire team was warm, welcoming, and attentive.

We can’t recommend Colorado Basecamps enough and will definitely be back. Thank you for such a memorable and...
