My friend and I stayed at this location. We are diamond members that have been staying with the Hilton brand for quite some time. The GM came into our room at 6 in the morning without knocking or identifying himself requesting to know what our names were. Apparently they made an error when making their notes in their system the night before. I told the GM how uncomfortable it was to have him" barge into our room without identifying himself. I also said "if you would have came in any further we would have had problems. He then proceeded to retrieve the telephone to call the police for an active threat being made. I simply told him that I was not threatening him, if he "would have" come in any further, we "would have" had problems. As an 8 year combat veteran that served this country, I feel that because this GM decided not to follow the Hilton policies and procedures when entering a room (with a do not disturb sign on the exterior of the door) he wanted me placed in a cage (jail) because of his inability to follow the policies and procedures he expects his staff to follow. I have stayed many nights with Hilton and have never ever had an experience like this. If you enjoy having your door flung open at 6 in the morning and then threatened to be locked in a cage because of their mess up, stay here. Otherwise if you enjoy your privacy, save yourself a possible trip to a steel cage (jail) all because they think its okay to barge into your private room. I will never be staying here again and I hope they find a new GM. FYI (cops were only threatened to be called). I understand people make mistakes, but own them, lean from it, and move on! Don't threatened to have someone placed in a cage because you screwed up BIG TIME! I've already called the corporation and am having an investigation done. At the end of the day, not only did he violate Hilton policies, he's placing himself and other staff in dangerous situations. Exhaust all other options before barging into someone's private room. The only way I would return is if...
Read moreIf I could give it a zero I would. So here was the problem. I drove from Massachusetts to Colorado and was expecting my room. I get there and I am told I have no reservation until the following night. They didn't have any rooms left and I could come back at midnight. I left to find another hotel that cost me 210.00 for the night at full price. I go back to the hotel the next day and I am told I was a no show from the previous night, but the girl said I remember you were here. She told me I did in fact have a reservation the previous night. It takes them about two hours to get me checked in after finally finding me a room but they don't have keys for my room. I had to prop something in the door until my keys were ready. That took about another 1.5 hours. They bring the bill to me now I am being charged 169.00 a night instead of the 129.00 I was quoted. I dispute that with an unfriendly day female manager. She says no problem, it will just go back to the card. Well it didn't! They have since charged my card 129.77, 169.00, 560.00, and they tried charging another 417.00. Called after I saw this on my credit card and was supposed to get a call back from the manager and three days later still no call and charges are still on my card. I was told my price was 417.00. Hmmm wonder why all the additional charges. Housekeeping walked in the room woke up all the teenagers while I ran to get a haircut even though the do not disturb sign was up. The Canadian Ham they served for breakfast was like chewing rubber! I was very disappointed with the staff and the hotel in general. The hotel was clean and the room was big, but all the other issues I had it clearly was not worth it! I'm still fighting all...
Read moreWe come down to denver a few times a month for children's hospital visits. We have 3 disabled children, one a newborn on oxygen. My husband is also a disabled Veteran. We decided to try this hotel instead of our normal because of better pricing, and had high hopes. Unfortunately this hotel experience made us regret it and would have paid more and driven further to our usual place. 1st the desk agent was abnormally rude and hung up the phone on my husband, when he asked for clean sheets for the sofa bed. They had crusted food and lots of pet hair on them. 2nd, she called us at 6 pm to tell us we needed to be more quiet. I have never had a noise complaint in the past. It was also early and you can't expect little kids to be on their tip toes, or a baby not to cry here and there. We would have gladly changed rooms if that was going to be some issue. We felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome, we almost packed up and left. It caused us to fight and my husband left the hotel with one of the kids to drive around until the others fell asleep. When we finally laid down to sleep the bed was extremely hard. I basically didn't sleep all night and got up at 5am to pack up. The only up side was the maid that came to change the sheets was a sweet heart. Honestly I have never complained about a hotel stay until this very one. I'm sad we had this experience but the management needs to know. The stress of the trip alone was enough but to add this experience was...
