My wife and I planned a family ski vacation for us and our three teenagers. We found this condo on VRBO and, after a series of emails with the owner, decided to rent it. The owner was quite helpful and gave us a number of hints about lower-cost lift tickets, area dining options, etc. But most important to us was how he behaved when our travel arrangements to Utah started to fall apart because of East Coast weather. Specifically, US Airways canceled our outbound flight just as we arrived at Newark Airport. The airline said that it could not get us to Salt Lake City until Monday, which meant losing two days of skiing and two nights of a pre-paid condo. I contacted the owner to apprise him of our situation. Not surprisingly, he felt bad for us. Surprisingly, however, he offered us an extra night on the end of our stay, i.e., Friday night, if we wanted it—gratis. We thanked him for his courtesy and checked with the airline to see if this was possible. It was—but only if we paid a $200 change fee per ticket, plus any difference in the fare. In other words, even though the airline canceled our flight (and there wasn't a flake in the sky or any bad weather forecast for the rest of the day when that "decision" was made), the cost for the extra night was at least $1,000. That, of course, made no sense to us. But it drove home that the owner was kind and ethical, whereas the airline was the polar opposite (bad pun intended). We later found out that the owner had a potential renter for the extra night he had offered, which he didn't accept until we decided to pass. As to the condo, it was spacious, extremely clean, and nicely decorated and laid out—overall, quite upscale. The kitchen is modern and fully stocked with the necessary appliances, utensils, etc., making it easy for us to prepare breakfast and a couple of dinners. We would definitely rent this...
Read moreThis condo was everything that it was advertised to be. It is in a great location with convenient access to Powder Mountain and Snowbasin. The unit has a fantastic view of the mountains. It is clean, comfortable, well maintained and very well equipped. Even in spite of some challenging weather conditions, I had a great time spending time at Powder Condo with my two teenage kids. The owner was extremely helpful with all aspects of the rental. On arrival, I had to wake him up in the middle of the night (east coast time) because the cleaning crew inadvertently locked the deadbolt to the front door. He was able to troubleshoot the problem and get us inside to bed. I would recommend this condo to my friends or family who are looking for a low-key, relaxing, winter mountain vacation. We drove down into Ogden, which is a very nice town with a good selections of restaurants and entertainment. Powder Mountain and Snowbasin could not be more different, but each were enjoyable in...
Read moreMy family of 5 (2 teens, toddler and husband) loved Powder Condo! We never felt crowded with plenty of beds, space and seating.
The owner was great to work with and provided everything we needed for a wonderful stay. He is by far the best owner we have dealt with. Checking in with a door code was easy and Henry always responded quickly to any questions.
The kitchen is fully stocked, condo clean and we really enjoyed the location. Eden is a beautiful place to visit with plenty of outdoor activities year round.
The condo has a pack-n-play, high-chair seat, and various items for kids. This was extremely helpful with our toddler.
It is minutes from Powder Mountain, the local grocery store and some small town restaurants. Snow Basin is close by and Ogden is only 15 minutes away with larger chain restaurants.
We can't wait to come back...
