Well... Where to start. I guess I'll start with the good. This is simply an amazing course. One of the most scenic course I have ever played. It is VERY tough and is guaranteed to cost you a few balls. There is great views of the valleys and we saw quite alot of wildlife (deer, snakes, fish, birds). It was great weather but quite humid.
Unfortunately, the staff were quite unacceptable. The kid in the pro shop and the gal tending the bar were quite condescending and acted like we didn't belong there. The gal in the snack cart was significantly more friendly but she only was available right after we made the turn at the 10th and when we were coming up in 18, which made no sense. She didn't care to grab any of her products either. She just sat there and let us grab what we needed and then pay her, which was weird. That though, is quite acceptable when compared to being treated so ignorantly and rude by the other two. Their attitudes were just unacceptable. We weren't there to be treated and spoken to like we didn't belong. In fact, it's their job to be there to help us out, for lack of a better term, it's their job to "serve" us... So they are quite mistaken with their arrogant and snooty attitudes.
This could easily have been given 4 stars and maybe even deserving of 5, had it not been for those two. I doubt I will ever return because I am there as a paying customer, just like...
Read moreWe were in Eden for 8 days. My husband golfed 4 of those days. He said the course of good. The reason for the bad rating is that on his last day of golf (the day before we left town) he bought an $80 shirt as a memento and left his debit card. We live 9 hours away and couldn't just return to get the card. We called when we got home and they confirmed the card was there but would have to talk to the golf pro about what to do. We called 3-4 times with the same answer. The last 3 days when we call we get the answer, I turned it over the the golf pro, it is out of my hands, just cancel the card. This bank account was recently hacked and a whole new checking account had to be set up and a new card issued less than a month before our vacation. We have both called the golf course and been told to cancel the card. We couldn't get a straight answer from the people working there if the card had been mailed to us. They keep saying cancel the card and then they hang up. The courses around where we live would...
Read moreI went to a wedding at Wolf Creek, and while the setting was beautiful, I was not thrilled with the service.
The first concern I had was a lot of broken slats on the pathway to the ceremony. There were several elderly people and children that were tripping on them. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The second concern was when my 72-year-old mother overheated and got sick during the ceremony. I understand the resort cannot control the weather, but I was told later today there was supposed to be a cooler to help with the concern, but it was not provided.
At the dinner, my teenage niece asked me if the staff hated us. They gave off an unwelcome vibe. I am friends with one of the outside vendors, and they confided in me that working with the staff was difficult and frustrating.
It ended up being a beautiful wedding, but I could see the frustrations with the couple's family and the outside vendors. It was really weird and uncomfortable.
I loathe writing negative reviews, but needed to share...
