Read moreI was very disappointed with Caribe Cove, it was my 4th time at this condo which I know VERY well. For many years under Wyndham management the experience was perfect but, at this time we had problems from the 1st to the 13th day with Vacasa. The problems pop up since the beginning with very high insurance fees which were never applied before during Wyndham time, but this was just the begging: 1st) The apartment was adapted for disabled person, this is not a problem, but the shower doesn’t have doors soaking all the bathroom every time. This characteristic is not listed on spec sheet at Vacasa’s website. 2nd) The shower plastic pipe was loosen and partially broken, I had to fix it. 3rd) One of suites had a old and uncomfortable mattress, which I strongly asked the conditions some days before of check in on Vacasa’s Customer Service, but the answer was always weak and unclear “we can not know each apartment condition because are owned by someone and not Vacasa”. Unbelievable!! 4th) At the first day when turning on the heating a VERY STRONG smell came from the A/C, a smoky smell like if something was burning. Not only due to the bad smell but I was also afraid of some safety issue! On the next day I called Vacasa’s Customer Relation at +1 888 261 0092, the agent took notes of my problem and promised call be back on the same day but nobody called and the problem wasn’t fixed neither. On the 2n day I called again Vacasa and a new ticket was open, at this time the problem was fixed (only on the 3rd day) but this agent also promised call be back, again nobody contacted me neither. I got an email only 8 days later!! 5th) One of suites has a curtain broken with missed plastic stripes leaving a gap of 20 in even when is completely closed, a privacy issue specially at night. This ticket was opened also but Vacasa simply didn’t care about it, the problem wasn’t fixed neither a feed back was replied. I have to put a fabric to give some privacy for my daughter 6th) After 3 days on the apartment the washing machine suddenly stoped working, but I gave up to call Customer Service and I asked the support from the front desk staff, these guys were very kind, efficient and fixed the problem quickly 7th) The last but not the least was the ZERO flexibility or customer oriented attitude, I request just 2 hours for a late check out once my daughter was sick and not feeling well, but feedback was cold and rude, they threatened me that an additional fee would be applied. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the poor treatment my family and I received during our stay at Caribe Cove Resort in Kissimmee. As loyal guests who have frequented your resort multiple times for business and pleasure, our last experience was disheartening and far below the high standards we expect from your establishment.
Our stay, which commenced on July 11, 2023, quickly became a series of distressing events that significantly tarnished our vacation experience. Upon our arrival, we learned that the elevators were out of order, leaving us stranded on the top floor of the building on a sweltering July evening. This inconvenience was exacerbated by the fact that we had relatives over for dinner at our condominium. Still, my sister-in-law, who is in her 70s and has a disability, was unable to climb several flights of stairs.
Despite our pleas and requests to be relocated to a different building with functional elevators, Vacasa informed us that onsite property management had denied our relocation and that the elevators would be repaired. This decision forced us to manually transport all our belongings, including groceries, up five flights of stairs, causing unnecessary physical strain and frustration. Two days passed, and the promised repairs to the elevators have yet to materialize. The situation escalated when smoke from the elevator shaft triggered a fire alarm, leading to an evacuation that endangered the safety of all guests, mainly two who were in wheelchairs and stayed through the evacuation looking over rails.
For two days, we needed more communication and accountability, as property management provided us with conflicting information and promptly failed to address the critical issue of inoperable elevators. We endured an undue amount of inconvenience before we were eventually relocated to a different building with functional elevators. Furthermore, the unnecessary delay in moving us to an alternative unit resulted in losing valuable time and enjoyment for three days of our stay.
The unaccountability by management and the treatment we received throughout this ordeal were unacceptable, and the disregard for the well-being and comfort of guests, especially those with specific needs, was deeply troubling. Read moreThe resort is gated and quiet but I had to give a one star because after arriving, I was charged a cleaning fee although at booking I paid like $156 in fees and was told this included the cleaning fee. So I said I will research later but then we get in the unit and there are ROACHES in the kitchen. Like a lot of different sizes and all over. We call the front desk they said they can not send anyone to spray until morning. Morning comes, nothing. We call again, they say they coming. After we leave and come back then we call again and ask because they are now on the walls outside the kitchen as well. I had to throw away my kids food. They was crawling up the doors of the fridge trying to get in. The front desk says we will send again in the morning. I ask will the manager be in and was told yes. The next morning I go down and this clerk says there is never a manger there only at the sister resort. So the other clerk lied and she was like basically. So I speak to a manager and she says she will call an exterminator, refund me a nights stay, and provide us lunch at the sister resort. It's been 2 weeks and I still have not received any money back. I called and they said the manager will call you back because it has not been done by the end of the day. Well that day came and went and still not a word. When we left there was still roaches. My son was leaning on the wall and some was trying to crawl up his clothes. Its ridiculous to pay that much money for a vacation and can not enjoy it. Then to be lied to by management and staff is just icing on the cake. I was just going to recommend to my friends and family about staying there and re-book for another trip we have coming but NOT after this.
