This place is stylish and has large rooms. It is a bit pricey but for the area it is a good buy. During the week you can find great deals. The pool room is warm which is great for my toddler. Most times we go to the pool it is empty. The rooms are clean and every room had a microwave and mini fridge. The tv channel selection is good with mostly hd channels and some movie channels included. They have a nice morning breakfast and a snack area with other odds and ends you can buy in case you left something at home. The suite rooms have a full kitchen with dishes and pots and pans and silverware. It's just a basic set but it's perfect to make a simple family meal. They have an exercise room that is available 24hrs a day. I have not been in since I have a toddler. We can go in but I will just be chasing him around. So I would have given them a full 5 stars but even though the pool area is usually clean there are tumble weed sized hair balls wandering the bottom of the pool like sea life. This is not their fault as no one ties up their hair for courtesy for others any more. Listen people tie up your hair in a pool. My son and I do not want to swim in your hair and no a ponytail is not good enough! Good news is they have a pool cleaning net in there. I just do a quick round up get the hair out and we are good to swim! So maybe they should check it for hair more often. Something about their system makes the hair gather up together so that is nice. They also have a bathroom right there in the pool area and a shower on the wall so no excuses for being lazy and disgusting. We take a shower before we run to the room too to rinse off the pool water and get nice and warm. We stay here a lot and will probably be back here again. The movie theater is right next door too so it's nice to just walk over there while daddy is...
Read moreWe got a 2 queen bed room. Nice room with fridge and microwave. We had a bathtub which is always better than a shower only. Not sure if all the rooms have a tub or not. They also have what looks like a nice product choice for the free hotel amenities (shampoo, wash, etc.) We didn't use any since we bring our own, but they were still nice and in cute bottles. Easy cooling & heating system in the room. Desk with a chair. Several lamps for light but needed a ceiling light. Nice free breakfast in the morning. Some of the food was more "processed" tasting, not so tasty as "real" food. And some of it was fine. Overall decent food, with a decent selection of both hot and cold food. The ladies working in the kitchen, and bringing out the food, stood and watched the guests a little too much. Especially the one lady. It made a lot of guests feel uncomfortable like they thought we would do something we shouldn't or eat too much food. But they were both very nice when they would talk to guests, and would smile and were friendly. Clean little dining area to eat in, the shelving needed more decorations though. They were mostly bare. They have a little food, drink, and necessities type shop next to the front desk. Which was very handy and nice. They accepted cash and card. The indoor pool area wasn't huge but was decent size. Up to 5' deep pool. With some beach chairs with side tables and two regular sized tables with chairs. Handicap accessible as well. We brought our own towels so I don't know if they offer swimming towels. Overall it was a nice hotel and we enjoyed...
Read moreWay too much for a hotel room at a Best Western especially when things aren’t up to par. When I brought down food left overs in my “clean” room a discount should have been offered off our stay. However informed people makes mistakes. Yes they do but those mistakes should come with some sort of compensation when charging so much for a room. Yes on the grand scheme of hotels it’s still cheap but Marriott was cheaper in the city. Seemed me questioning the cleanliness of my room a slight offense was taken but when there is left overs in the fridge that’s a big oversight. When I got in the shower I noticed hair that wasn’t ours. I rinsed it down the drain because I knew complaining wasn’t gonna help any. I shouldn’t see other peoples hair and food in my room that I’m paying way too close to $200 a night for. other than that the place seemed pretty decent. When we checked out the operations manager checked me out. She was doing maid service so I figured she’s not the one to talk with about the issues. She was nice. But honestly when a refrigerator is missed by the maid and manager over the maids who should do follow ups it effects the whole feel if a room truly was cleaned with clean bedding and towels. Mistakes happen and if it wasn’t for that I would stay again without hesitation. Pizza looked and smelled good though lol but not ours not eating it. Can’t prove it but one thing I’m straight forward and honest. Didn’t wanna move hotels because the only other option available was...
