A friend and I took a trip with our two infants 3&5 month olds for my friend’s birthday. Upon check in we smelled what seemed like it was cleaned with a massive amount of bleach. We never expected to have happen what happened next. My friend laid her 5 month old son down on the bed and moments later he started to squirm and fuss. She then picked her son up to notice his shirt was bleach stained. Might I add it was impossible to have come from any where else but the bed. she took a photo of him right when we entered the room, No bleach spot. Anyways, when she picked up her son he had a bleach spot so we both immediately smelled the spot and felt the spot which WAS wet and reeked of bleach. We pulled the top sheet off and the comforter had a huge bleach spot. We called the office and brought it to the property managers attention. She was extremely rude, had the front office lady grab the blankets and take them to her office. When we went to the front she proceeded to tell us the covers she had, had no spot nor was wet and did NOT smell like bleach. Which is total lies, we took pictures knowing she would try to cover this up as this could be a MASSIVE LAWSUIT. your negligence could have KILLED one of our children had we put them face down for a nap. On top of all of this it was a weekend! So everything on the island was booked up. She then said we can refund you and you can stay somewhere else but the refund won’t be in your account for 5-7 business days. Considering we had NO other option and super far from home we had to settle for switching rooms and staying at this place. To top it ALL OFF my friend returns to turn in the old room keys and the property manager a customer are making racial slurs about getting “grape soda and watermelon.” The front desk lady then shushes them to be quiet as she walked in so it was very apparent who they were speaking about. This place treated us absolutely horrible!! And they have forever lost our business and we will never be recommending that place to...

Bad
Disliked · We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Checked in late Thursdsay. The woman at the desk did not have me sign anything and announced my room number to the world. HUGE SECURITY BREACH! There was no coffee offered in room or at front desk. There was a open/dry tampon left on top of the stairwell for all three days. On Friday, the cleaned the room and left all of the dirty linens on top of the outside air units for hours (whole property). They made up the beds and set 2 new towels on them, not in the space provided for towels. We had to have maintenance come and fix our door because the hinges were loose and it would not close, the lock also go stuck on several occasions causing us to have to repeatedly slam the door every time we left. On Saturday, we came back to the hotel to find that they just went in and threw 2 more towels on top of the beds. They did not collect dirty linens, change sheets, take out the trash, or leave toilet paper. When traveling to the beach, the last thing you want is dirty towels piling up for 8 people. The rooms are small as is, no need to have extra clutter. When I went to the office, the woman told me that there was no request for the room to be worked. I informed her no one told us we needed to request it. She just shrugged her shoulders, handed me a few towels and toilet paper.
Really disappointed that we paid over $800 for this hotel and then found out had we waited until the last minute, we could have gotten a whole house through Booking for $300. As far as the exterior of the property, people were out and about all hours, groups of people smoking weed on the stairs and in the breezeways. Definately would not recommend this for families.
I would not recommend this hotel. We actually packed up and left at midnight our last...
Read moreMe and my husband paid for 2 nights at this motel on Tuesday afternoon the motel lost power in all the rooms the front desk staff weren’t keeping anyone up to date coming 8:30pm still no electricity we asked about the power situation and they still didn’t know anything it got to the point where the rooms where getting hot and everyone that was staying that night were outside trying to figure out what was happening they were the only ones on the block without power around 10 pm they still had no power so me and my husband left and went to another hotel I come back today to talk to the owners and she tells me they aren’t gonna compensate or refund anyone back there money because it was “an act of nature” and that it wasn’t there fault that they had no power when in fact it is there fault when they should be better prepared for situations like this and have a back up generator and I know for a fact this isn’t the first time this has happened before where this motel has lost power for an entire night so it sounds to me this is a recurring issue with this motel so if anyone is thinking of staying here I wouldn’t they don’t care about there customers who give them there hard earned money to stay here they weren’t even willing to compensate for anyone. last few times I stayed here I also got assigned a room that had mold on the base boards and the tv was off the wall and water all on the floor so if your planning to stay here anytime soon I wouldn’t the motel 6 on seawall or Texas city is way better and care about there customers more than this one does . And any one that owns an establishment in Galveston knows to be prepared for disasters or “act of natures” the fact there not is there issue not...
