There is a reason I consistently buy my seafood here: The fresh seafood is fresh - not previously frozen. Fresh seafood does not smell "fishy", the shrimp's color is translucent, the fish's eyes look fresh-not dry. The oysters are the best available on the upper Gulf Coast, bar none. They have shucked or in shell, the jumbo lump crab meat, when in season, is the best and worth every penny. The fish are fresh from the Gulf and very good. They do have a frozen section for hard-to-find authentic cold water 1&1/2-2 lb cold water Maine Lobster tails, Mussels, other North Atlantic cold water fish. Also other cooked appetizers and entree's, fresh frozen that our delicious. I've visited other competitors from Seabrook to Palacious that in many cases offer previously frozen seafood masquerading as fresh. Buyer beware because it is not always fresh and buyers from out-of-town or out of state may not be as familiar with seafood as Galveston natives. This company has an over 40 year history and not only offers fresh seafood, locally, but ships frozen shrimp to grocery stores throughout Texas and the Mid-West U.S. to Chicago and beyond. The worst possible experience that a visitor can ever have. They were rude, talk behind your back and demanded you to buy their product. We tried to look and the seafood we was about to buy, the seller made rude gesture. Saying we are waisting his time. If you don’t want it, then don’t buy it. We didn’t say anything and just let.
