Ice Camp Outfitters — Hotel in Garrison

Terrible experience! Spent 2k(Wednesday night - Sunday morning).

Spend top dollar = you get what you pay for….. well, not the case!!!!

Road pass not included ($60) Bait price $$$ (bait not included) Dirty floors and dishes (no water or cleaning supplies) Most cabinets full of items…. Not convenient when customers have items to put away. Bathroom is equipped with a 5 gallon bucket and a trash bag. No toilet seat…. Doesn’t feel real good!!!! After you’re done using the so called toilet…. You throw the bag outside to let it freeze (then you haul it to garrison sports) No fridge….. brought cooler, but temps outside caused for frozen foods (no room for cooler in 4 man fish house).

Fish house sitting in 4” water upon arrival. Moved the fish house 30’ due to water level (10” of water) (left the yetti unlevel the rest of the stay!) After moving they forgot to plug in the yetti, temps dropped to 40 degrees in the house….

Fishing was very slow and they were unwilling to move us. We payed for a fishing experience, not a sleeping experience! If you’re looking to get a good nights sleep, this is the outfitter to go through (3 fish caught on rattle reels in 4 nights (10pm-7am))

Focused more on quantity of customers ($$$) vs quality of experience! Hired hands more interested in their own fishing experience vs ensuring customer satisfaction (I think they forget who pays them) Found hot fish bite 2 miles east (our own doing) Also found ice camp outfitters in same location….

Feel sorry for individuals that don’t know how to fish and find fish…. Not willing to assist.

Frustrating stay 5.5 hrs from home!

I would not recommend booking a trip through ice camp outfitters!

Just rent your own house to move where you want....

Team at Ice Camp were professional and communicated well. We had originally been scheduled to stay in the “Snowstorm” ice shack Monday and Tuesday (Dec 27 and 28) but due to high winds following a heavy snowstorm the day before they were not able to get us out Monday. Ice Camp put is up in a brand new Yetti Legend on shore for Monday and promptly had us out to our house first thing Tuesday morning. Shack was clean and heated on arrival. Fishing was terrible but that’s the luck of the draw, they can’t guarantee good fishing! We were transferred then to their Norwegian Cabana the second day as that was the only shack available and we wanted to fish two days. The team offered us a refund for day 2 but we refused and chose to move to the second shack. It was decent, but clearly not in the same league as their other houses but was as advertised on their site. All in all good trip and they were accommodating and the shacks were clean and warm. The only drawback, and it was a considerable one, is their policy is pack in/pack out meaning you must take all your trash home with you. This includes your “human waste” which to me is not an acceptable Policy. Trash, ok. But human waste in a bag, going home in the car, is disgusting. That issue they need a solution for if I go back, which I certainly will if they...

Bad experience!

We had arranged a day early arrival due to bad travel weather on the original date and they said everything would be ready. We arrived and everyone expected us the next day, nothing was ready. When we got to the house it was standing in 5 inches of water. Everything was greasy and dirty, including food covered pots, pans, utensils. The bathroom included a 5 gallon bucket with a trash bag for a toilet, no seat. When we arrived they told us they were going to move us to the mud flats where the fishing was much better, instead they showed up around 7 at night after dark and said they had to move the house immediately due to the water issue. They moved us 50 feet to clear the water. At 3am they same night we woke up with no heat and 40 degrees. They showed up and plugged the generator in that got unplugged when they moved us. After the battery drained the heat quit. We asked to be moved as there were no fish at the current location and they said the would see. We never got moved again. On the last full day we took the truck and our lake map and found a great place to fish. To our surprise the staff were out there fishing in that spot. We are thoroughly disgusted with the service we received and will not come back. Save your money and go somewhere that values...
