We enjoyed this place. Very family friendly but relaxed and laid back too with no annoying restrictions. (Alcohol is permitted and available in the store.) We went before Labor Day but the blow up slides were already down. We planned our trip to go before it all closed. That was a bummer. We had a creekside sight with deck. It said tent friendly but there wasnât really a spot to pitch a tent that wasnât over rocks. So bring plenty of mats. Showers and bathrooms are ok. Definitely bring some shower flip flops. In the womenâs shower with 2 in same room, the shower in back flooded. That was only one with a hook for towels.
Campground is smaller than appears on map. That was good for us because our kids could ride bikes, play on playground and go to bathroom within our sight. Note the road is gravel so scooters may be difficult. Lots of kids and activities made it fun for them to make friends and play. Look carefully in the game room. While most do require money, there are some that don't. The creek is perfect to play in but the trail on our end was very steep. Our kids enjoyed the fishing pond too. Don't forget your mosquito spray! If you forget anything there's a store with ice cream, cold beverages and food, but also a dollar general close by. Overall, a good place we will probably return. The creek was a great sound to fall asleep...

Read moreNOW CALLED "ADVENTURE BOUND". My family and I absolutely love this place. Top notch campground for RVs, campers, and tent camping. You can also rent cabins which range from primitive to pimpin'. They rent campers and golf carts as well. The playground and gaga ball (picture dodgeball in a pen with no throwing and a knees down elimination zone) area in the center of the grounds is perfect for kids. At any given time of the day we saw 30 kids playing which kept us from hearing "I'm bored" the whole time. They have a pool and awesome concrete waterslide which is fun for adults too..just be mindful of your kids because the lifeguards are pretty lax. With a beautiful flowing creek, "trout" pond, and a woodsy setting you can have a true Smoky Mts outdoors experience at Adventure Bound while still being close to...
