Sleepy Hollow Motel — Hotel in Gillett

We arrived around 10pm the fog had been very heavy we were relieved but rather concerned to pull up to a bar and grill in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. I went in to ask for direction to the Sleepy Hollow Inn. The place was virtually empty a couple ladies were seated at the bar (not together) and a mixed group of younger folks were quietly talking across the room. The rugged looking bartender asked what I wanted in a thick Wisconsin accent. I told him and he asked me what kind of room I needed and for how many people. He took a key off the wall and asked me for my registration information. || The motel was in back so I pulled around and parked in front of our room.My wife and I were more than surprized.||The room was immaculate and comfortable. There were were a couch and chaise in the living room, along with a gas fireplace.The TV could viewed from the living room or bedroom, the galley had a real stove, microwave, nice sized refrigerator. regular single sink. a few paper plate, etc..The beds were very comfortable. The atmosphere reminded us of a rustic honeymoon cottage.||||We will...

Rooms were large enough to sleep 6.||Kitchens in every room. Fireplaces (some didn't work), firm beds, plenty of hot water.||Housekeeping was clean even when they refreshed the rooms.||Sat Tv., Coffee. ||Wildfire Bar with patio and outdoor fire pits and fireplace.||This place would be great for snowmobilers, ATV's.||Quiet surroundings.||Located at hwy22 and 32n split, east side of town.||Staff was another thing though, sort of rude.||After hours no service. Don't get locked out of your room, no one there to let you back in.||Owners live on premises but in which house? No one answers the phone to help.||I only paid $61 a night, stayed 2 nights.||Nice motel but not staffed properly. Housekeeping was only person willing to help or go the extra mile to help.||I will recommend this motel but with a warning to...

If I could give it a zero, I would. CREEPY HOLLOW!!! DON’T DO IT!!! We were here two weeks, waiting for the house to close. Saw housekeeping with towels on Sunday and never again. Nothing cleaned. Asked for vacuum and received 4 days later. We were booked for Labor Day but told we had to leave. They closed up and went out of town? Owner showed up drunk hassling us about service dog. Maintenance guy lived in the room next door and smoked... butts all over. When we packed up, we found underwear in the top of the cabinet and paper trash in one of the other cabinets. Not from us... We never unpacked... dusty, dirty and full of fake trees and trinkets of moose. Blankets over the couches... JUST GROSS!!! DEFINITELY...
