I highly recommend Sleeping Bear Inn! The innkeepers were wonderfully attentive and greeted us right away when we arrived! Even though the Inn is located on the shores of Lake Michigan, we had a relaxing and quiet getaway from our noisy busy life. Our room was very clean & beautifully decorated! The pictures that we saw online don’t do it justice. Our homemade breakfast was served in the main dining room but you can choose to have your breakfast in your room. Let me just say the breakfast we had, #1 looked so amazing. I took a picture of it and #2 tasted like nothing I have ever had before! The French toast was out of this world! Along with fluffy scrambled eggs and tender ham. Loved the toasted granola on top of the vanilla yogurt parfait. We had fresh blueberries, cherries & strawberries from the local farmers market. On top of the amazing breakfast we had a beautiful view of Lake Michigan! You can swim or hike or just relax at the top of the hill in a Adirondack chair, it’s all at your fingertips! This is a must see must stay place to get away & unwind from the grind! It was well worth the scenic ride up from Waterford Michigan. We can’t wait to return!! A big Thank you to the Innkeepers Jeff & Maggie for making us...

The Inn, recently renovated, looks just as it was in its original 1857 appearance but now is a comfortable bed and breakfast. Our room, “Lake Effect”, overlooks Sleeping Bear Bay and we woke up to a sunrise without getting out of bed! The cosy room has a comfy bed, chairs and table, nice bath, and windows that can be opened to the fresh air. Breakfast was hearty, on the porch with a view. The Innkeepers are super and always ready to interact with guests. This is a wonderful place in itself, the best B&B in our experience. The National Lakeshore is icing on the cake. It is unique among NPs as it highlights the best of Michigan especially for travelers looking for an active vacation. Hiking and biking trails (see Heritage Trail), shouldered roads, dune hikes and climbs, swimming, food, friendly locals, all make for a great getaway for all ages. We are in our eighties! So look for the Sleeping Bear Inn, Glen Haven, Michigan. You’ll be...
