To celebrate our anniversary my husband and I spent two nights at the historic Sleeping Bear Inn, a lovely and pleasantly restored B&B in Glen Haven, Mi. Jeff and Maggie, the proprietors, could not have been more welcoming and made sure all their guests were comfortable. The breakfast both mornings was served hot to each guest and was prepared using local ingredients by Maggie and promptly served by Jeff. Both meals were absolutely delicious. The beach was only steps away and the view can be enjoyed from the dining room windows. Our room “Daydream” had lovely views and a sauna! This quiet setting was a great base for trips to Sleeping Bear dunes, Pyramid Point, Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, Leland, Empire Bluff Northport, Frankfort, and Point Betsy Lighthouse, all of which we visited in our time there. There are also nearby bike and kayak rentals which we did not make use of this trip, but another option for a future visit. We highly recommend the Inn and plan to stay there again in the future.

Just left a perfectly idyllic winter getaway at the inn. We love Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear and have long wanted to visit in the winter. The restoration of Sleeping Bear Inn was just the thing to inspire the trip this year! The innkeepers took such great care of us all weekend, from accommodating my dietary restrictions with breakfast to also preparing us a delicious home cooked meal for supper (best in town). They provided hot tea and cookies and a stoked fire throughout the day, such special treats! We enjoyed reading by the fire in the common area. Our room had a sauna, and while I wish it got hotter, it was still a lovely touch for the winter months! The inn restoration is beautifully done and the room was more than comfortable! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

We have been waiting for the Sleeping Bear Inn to open! This location is perfectly located to enjoy the many activities in the area! This was one of our best anniversary trips and it’s all because of this charming inn and our lovely hosts! The remodel of this historic 1857 inn is incredible! The planning and detail shows in every aspect of the building. My favorite is the dragonfly lighting! Just gorgeous! Sitting in the breakfast area, looking out through these beautiful windows at Lake Michigan, what could be better than that? How about the delicious breakfast included in the stay! Additionally, sleeping at night listening to the waves was pretty awesome as well. Thank you, Maggie and Jeff for fabulous stay.

I highly recommend Sleeping Bear Inn! The innkeepers were wonderfully attentive and greeted us right away when we arrived! Even though the Inn is located on the shores of Lake Michigan, we had a relaxing and quiet getaway from our noisy busy life. Our room was very clean & beautifully decorated! The pictures that we saw online don’t do it justice. Our homemade breakfast was served in the main dining room but you can choose to have your breakfast in your room. Let me just say the breakfast we had, #1 looked so amazing. I took a picture of it and #2 tasted like nothing I have ever had before! The French toast was out of this world! Along with fluffy scrambled eggs and tender ham. Loved the toasted granola on top of the vanilla yogurt parfait. We had fresh blueberries, cherries & strawberries from the local farmers market. On top of the amazing breakfast we had a beautiful view of Lake Michigan! You can swim or hike or just relax at the top of the hill in a Adirondack chair, it’s all at your fingertips! This is a must see must stay place to get away & unwind from the grind! It was well worth the scenic ride up from Waterford Michigan. We can’t wait to return!! A big Thank you to the Innkeepers Jeff & Maggie for making us...

Sleeping Bear Inn Review ||We enjoyed our recent stay at the Sleeping Bear Inn , Glen Haven, in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, a National Park. The Inn, recently renovated, looks just as it was in its original 1857 appearance but now is a comfortable bed and breakfast. Our room, “Lake Effect”, overlooks Sleeping Bear Bay and we woke up to a sunrise without getting out of bed! The cosy room has a comfy bed, chairs and table, nice bath, and windows that can be opened to the fresh air. Breakfast was hearty, on the porch with a view. The Innkeepers are super and always ready to interact with guests. This is a wonderful place in itself, the best B&B in our experience. The National Lakeshore is icing on the cake. It is unique among NPs as it highlights the best of Michigan especially for travelers looking for an active vacation. Hiking and biking trails (see Heritage Trail), shouldered roads, dune hikes and climbs, swimming, food, friendly locals, all make for a great getaway for all ages. We are in our eighties! So look for the Sleeping Bear Inn, Glen Haven, Michigan. You’ll be...
