My extended family rented this out for 4 days for a reunion. We had about 40 adults and 25 children. Enough beds to accommodate everyone comfortably.||House has a total of 25 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, the upper floor having the majority of the rooms. ||Depending on how much of the house you rent will determine what is available. My group had access to the entire upper West-Wing & most of the East-Wing. We did not use the 2 far East Wing rooms and family room.||We were able to use the Great Room next to the kitchen for all of our meals. Along with the 4 wooden tables they provide folding tables to accommodate more people and they have about 100 extra folding chairs to accommodate a large gathering in the Basement room that we were able to use upstairs as well. We made all of our meals inside the house in the Kitchen. There are 2 stoves, 2 fridges, a large and smaller sink, and a pantry full of items left by previous guests of the house. ||The basement has a theater room with a large corner sectional couch and 2nd couch, along with room for many chairs (we had our entire group fit inside the theater on the folding chairs). The larger room across from the theater spans the entire west side of the building. There is an air-hockey, Ping-Pong, & pool table (although they were missing some of the balls). ||Outside there is a BBQ area to the West with a large grassy area we used for some lawn games. On the front side of the house are 2 swing sets, trampoline, and some other kid toys. ||The tenant of the house lives on the property in the unavailable space in the East side. In 4 days, we only saw them 1 time. We stayed up till 3am some nights (one night doing karaoke in the theater basement directly below where they stay) and there were no complaints from them about the noise. ||The house shows many signs of wear and various remodeling (was built in 1920). Even with many signs of wear and run down I was impressed at the offerings. The beds were very good considering the look and feel of the house. Bedding and pillows were. Almost every room has a blu ray player, antenna for local channels, approx 40" tv, and AC. The appliances in the kitchen are also newer. For the price you can’t beat this place. There’s not anywhere near within 100+ miles where you can rent out such a huge place and have accommodation for nearing 100 people. Our family enjoyed the time there in the small down and have even talked about returning in years to come. Definitely a place to spend a reunion or gathering...
Read moreWe had a family reunion that included about 50 people from the east and west coast and chose the Gooding University Inn and Resort as our main gathering and sleeping place. It was one of the only affordable place we could find that could host our entire family. The large kitchen with great room were ideal for dinners and family gatherings and the rooms were well suited for our needs. The basement had a theatre room and a game room with ping pong, pool and shuffle board tables.|We had plenty to do while we were there-here are how we filled a few of our days: taking a rivercruise, sightseeing at Shoshone falls, and Malad Gorge; a trip to Sun Valley to ride the Gondola, ice skate, shop, ride bikes along the Wood River's paved trail, or hike; kayaking from Banbury Falls to Blue Heart Springs; relaxing at Banbury or Miracle Hot Springs; ziplining near the canyon in Twin Falls; playing in the water park at Boise, and exploring the ice caves. There is also an excellent public pool where the kids could congregate on a hot day and where adults could lap swim in the morning or evening. We also would have done a few more things if we had had a...
Read moreMy family of 25 reserved the West wing for 3 nights! Hearing that it was haunted worried some of us but nothing scary happened during our stay. We had a great time and really loved having all the rooms and huge kitchen/living space to spread out! My mom bought all the grandkids head lamps and they played tag in the hallways when it got dark. They had a blast. They supply almost anything you could need - towels, dishes, 2 fridges, 2 stoves, crock pots, pans, hand soap in all bathrooms, toilet paper, blankets, cribs, tv in every room, some with dvd players, etc. Kids loved the stocked games in the game room, as well as the theater room and big game room downstairs. 3 stars is for the lack of locks on all exterior doors, some didn't even shut all the way. And also for the bugs. We killed 5 spiders just in our bedroom and you could see webs along baseboards and corners of ceilings. Spiders terrify me, so this was a struggle for me. There is a patch of grass outside that has stickers. Everyone stepped on them at least once. All in all, we would recommend this place for any...
