Coulee Playland — Hotel in Grand Coulee

We stayed in the Glamping tent! It was very clean and so cute, had everything we needed. A/C kept the tent nice and comfortable, even in the 90 plus degree heat, very nice for an afternoon nap. Eye masks were provided and a very nice touch as it is bright in the morning. The fridge was the cutest mini fridge I had ever seen and kept everything very cold! Coffee pot and toaster oven was also nice to have. Bed and pillows provided were comfortable and clean! We are just two adults, but the tent could easily accommodate four adults or three more children as there is a futon in the tent, and a cot available on request. There is some road noise, but wasn't to bad.Restrooms were clean and we saw staff attending to them thought the day|Also had a coin operated shower, just 50 cents for 5mins, so nice to shower after a day in the sun and water! Also had coin opp laundry, we didn't use it but nice to have it you need it. On the second day we rented a pontoon boat, it was really affordable at just $450 for the day! We have seem pontoon boats renting for $900 plus a day so we felt it was a great deal! It was perfect to get out and enjoy the lake with our friends. The store staff are helpful and kind. The ice cream was delicious! The fishing tackle they sell in the store is impressive, Better then Cabela's! They even give you suggestions on best fishing on the lake! |We can't wait to come back...

I walked in for a reservation pass. Lou didn't know that the store even sold reservation passes. As I was getting ready to drive away. He flagged me down saying that they do have reservation passes. I go back in to fill it out. After filling it out and seeing that there is a $80 fee. I called my wife to confirm that price was okay. She pointed out that we would be paying full price for only half. That is the point when Lou got very rude. I apologized the fact that he had to staple the two papers together and file them away as if that was a very difficult task. Maybe Lou needs retraining as he was not a pleasant employee. Amazing view! The scenery here is beautiful, but some parts of the experience were disappointing. The showers were horrible—75¢ for "7 1/2 minutes," but mine shut off after just 4 minutes. I spent 2 of those minutes just trying to adjust the water from cold to hot. On my second day, they also took the boats and canoes up for the year, so I missed out on riding a canoe, something I’ve always wanted to do.

The shop is lacking items, and if you need a gas station or store, you’ll have to drive a couple of minutes to Grand Coulee. Overall, it’s a beautiful place with amazing views, but some things definitely need...
