I WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE ❌🚫❗️❗️ I called before I went there and ask the price which he gave me the price for a night and weekly rate.. I also asked about noise... so when I pulled up no one was in the office, he gave me my room number1️⃣6️⃣over the phone, said the key would be in the room, I was scared to get out because of all the trash and people out side argueing but it was to late to try and search for another room, so I had to wait until that morning, I didn’t get a wink of sleep, because people walked and talked loud all night, My door knob kept moving, also the foundation is sturdy (the building moves a lot... so the next morning I got up to turn in the key and pay which I suppose to had stayed a week but I couldn’t stay there not another night.... he charged me $90 for that night which he told me $59 over the phone, I could have chosen a better one for that price if he would have not lied over the phone or even been in the office at check-in and I had to stand out in the freezing cold at a window for over 30mins because instead of him doing business, he was down talking the other motels and his bills...Your best out is to stay on the other side of the toll bridge (Galliano or Golden Meadow)... I usually stay at Galliano Inn Cabins but I wanted to be closer to my husband.... The rooms were clean and ok though... I really don’t know to much about grand isle but this is not the place to go unless you like to waste money, or be up all night with rocking, walking...
Read morePros: Good A/C, a mini-fridge, free ice downstairs, and clean beds. If you're just looking for a relatively inexpensive room to crash in for a beach or fishing trip, this is fine. The one double bed and bunk twins were fine for us.
Cons: The building and rooms are in need of some serious renovation, such as gaps around the windows, cracks in the tiles, etc. Rooms are tiny and are more along the lines of a small cabin than a modern hotel room.
Also the owner will talk your ear off. He's not happy with the phone company. Or the internet provider. Or the hurricanes. Or the parish government. Or the guests last week who left a mess. Or the tax assessor's office. Or the weather. Or the people who didn't leave the hose the way they found it.
Overall this place is a solid 3. The basics squeak by as adequate and the price is about right for the area and...
Read moreI stayed here last year for a few nights (June, 2017) - taking my grandson fishing. The room was clean and well stocked. We had a kitchenette room, which has 2 small bedrooms full of beds, so you could pack 8 people in there, but it would be very crowded. For 2 of us it was fine. The 'Kitchenette' is actually a full kitchen - full size stove, full size refrigerator, & full size coffee maker, but not much counter space. ||The bathroom is tiny! lol But we weren't there for luxury bathing,||The pool was clean and we did use it, but not much time for swimming when there are so many fish to catch.||We are planning to go back...
