On Thurday, August 7th, I flew into Texas 6 months pregnant for work, I was in pain due to issues with my pregnancy but had to handle a work emergency. At approximately 3 or 4 pm a man who says his name is Harry immediately started being abrupt and rude. There was no pleasant greeting, no customer service and no manners. I noticed upon arrival that the hotel was in very poor condition and that it looked nothing like the pictures online but after the day I had I was willing to overlook it in exchange for hospitality that I did not receive. My reservation information was my phone which was dead. I made my reservation and paid for the room hours prior and he snapped at me that I could not use the plug without asking him permission first and told me I need to behave as though he was talking to child. Then he asked for the reservation from my dead phone. I could tell he was not an educated man but that doesn't mean he shouldn't have had manners. His disgusting behavior went on and on. I hope the hotel will review the video of his behavior and customer service etiquette toward guests. I hope you treat everyone who walks into your lobby with respect moving forward. They deserve hospitality. Moving on to the condition of the property- the pool has brown water and trash floating in it in August when people would expect to see an inviting pool the most, roaches were crawling all over the property, ants were in my bedsheets, a big brown spot was in my tub and trash from a soap wrapper was in the drain, brown spots adorned the walls of the room and the area close to the filthy blow dryer that I wouldn't dare touch. The breakfast was not kept in food safe conditions. At around 6 in the morning I got breakfast. Nobody else was there. The milk sat right on the counter unrefrigerated and not kept cold at all. The butter was the same. There is no juice. There was no glass plate in the microwave so I could use it, there was nono hot water even though there were tea bags. The fruit was just apples and the looked bad. I honestly though Howard Johnson was supposed to be a good hotel chain, but now that I know most motels are cleaner I will never be back. Highly recommend that you...

Not sure ONE STAR is good. The only nice thing about this place was the clerk. He was very polite and kind. He gets 10 stars. I was just desperate to get a room somewhere so this was the best and only place that had a room for under $250.00. Stuck at airport for 10 hours. All hotels upped the cost because everybody was stuck at airport mostly cause of storm. No smoking room was nothing but a smoker's room. The room reeked of smoke. Horrible the top blanket was so smoky, had to take off. Sheets were dirty, had to get clean ones and put them on. Clerk helped me. Floor filthy really the whole room unclean. But so tired with a migraine. Smoke didn't help. The man next door snored so loud. I had to play mediation music loudly to drown out his snore. Awlful. 3:30 am now. Finally slept a little. 6:00 am everyone is up can hear water run, people stomping and talking. So, its 7:00. Plane doesn't leave till 11:30. I have to shower to not smell like smoke. Just awlful. The heater was loud and old. I had to not use a heater cause of that and heat and smoke not good combo. No heat, no blanket. Lots of clothes and uncomfortable trying to sleep. Not worth $90.00. The picture on ad is nothing like the room I got. The bed has seen better days. But I guess happy to have laid my head down for 3 hours. Back to airport soon. But grateful to have closed my eyes. Still migraine. Getting a shower heading back to airport. I really love my grandboys on my way to see them. Oh, AMERICAN AIRLINES are the worst. No communication. I ke weather played a big part but I walked All gates ABCDE and back trying to just get someone to rebook me. Awlful. Btw- Sorry HoJo. You use to be a pretty good bargin. Dont boom here if you can help it. I was so worried about bed bugs or lice. I'll keep you posted. Unless last straw, last hotel, last room. Stay away. The taxi driver was very nice that got me here, Tor, is his name. Thanks for letting...

Do not stay here. This place is absolutely disgusting, there were cigarette burns all over our blankets and pillows cases in a non-smoking room. There was NO hot water at all! There was no blow dryer in our room and the safe wasn't even attatched to the wall. Oh and the phone didn't work either. Apparently they had just finished with some "renovations" although the old carpet, wall decor, wood and glass was all thrown in a huge pile by their dumspter, taking up about a third of their parking lot. Management must not have even walked this room before they rented it out to us because the mirrors were covered in dust, there was white paint all over the floor and the air conditioner. We even had to sweep our own room because of the dust, paint and shavings left all over the ground. There was also no towels in the room when we got there. For $100 a night, this was ridiculous. After spending the first night in this room after the front desk said they had no rooms left, we switched rooms the next morning because they said that there was nothing wrong with this one. So here we go again, the tv wasn't connected, the phone in this room didn't work either, there was hair in the bathtub and still burns on the sheets and blankets and as much as we were hoping for hot water, still no hot water. Definitely the worst hotel experience ever. If it wasn't such a busy weekend and if management would have warned us about the type of room that they had given us about two weeks ahead of time, we would have left this place...

My daughter booked this hotel (cost was her main concern) but the reviews were pretty alarming so I was a little apprehensive about what we were getting into to. Claims of the room being dirty were unfounded (in our experience). I even brought Clorox wipes and wiped down everything and the wipe was clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. I could nick-pick a few things (the towels weren't great, but they were clean and we were offered new ones daily and the rooms are not sound-proof) but you have to consider cost and I felt we did good for what she paid for. I've read complaints about the people running the hotel - I wouldn't say they were oozing with friendliness but they were polite and we had no issues. The housekeeping ladies were very friendly and courteous. This location is in an older area of town but we felt safe there. I don't often make reviews but because there were so many bad reviews, I felt I needed to help these folks out a bit and share our experience. Bottom line -- for the money we spent, I would stay there again.

Howard Johnson is rolling over in his grave that his name is associated with this dump. Where to start? Greeted by flickering light on front sign and a black cat roaming around- we should have read the signs this wasn't going to end well. The staff was elusive literally hiding out of site from the bullet proof glass window upon arrival. Upon being discovered they were rude and abrasive. We requested a room with a clean shower. They countered by saying they were sold out and if we didn't want to stay there someone would take it. The safe was broken along with the bathroom floor tile. Beds uncomfortable and stained sheets. If your brave enough to chance it here Pro tip leave the fan in the bathroom or the drip off the faucet will be maddening. Unfortunately we read reviews after booking please don't make that mistake. Hopefully soon Wynham will yank it's badge and let these losers join the ranks of unbranded motels that dot this stretch of town. Literally the only going for it was location.
