If I could, I would give this place a -5* rating. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE AND NEVER BOOK IT THROUGH HOTELS.COM!!!!||||On Friday, June 24, 2016, at about 6PM, I made an online reservation [not a guaranteed booking] with Hotels.com for a one night stay at this establishment.||||When I arrived at about 6:30PM, I felt very uncomfortable about the location and condition of the premises.||||This place is located on the main street through town but in a dying section of the town. Everything in that area is rundown and dirty.||||There were some "unsavory" looking people in the parking lot and standing at several of the doors to rooms in this place. I got the impression that there was drug deals being done in the parking lot and that the women standing in the open doors were hookers. ||||However, I needed a place to stay and at the time I believed this was the only thing available in town according to my search on Hotels. com. So I parked my truck and went into the lobby.||||When I stepped inside, I saw the lobby was half filled with junk stacked to the ceiling and it was very untidy and dirty. That was a "red flag" to me. However, I told the two guys at the desk [the owners] that I had made a reservation online with Hotels.com for a one-night stay.||||We had a discussion about my method of payment. I questioned why they were asking for payment as I had never had to pay any motel directly whenever I have booked a reservation with Hotels.com. I was told that their association with Hotels.com had ended over a year ago. That was another "red flag" warning for me. However, upon review of the email confirmation of the reservation from Hotels.com on my phone, I saw that was what was being required.||||I completed the paperwork for the stay and before I could give my credit card to the owner/ desk clerk for the payment of the booking, the manager of the hotel where I had previously stayed for 5 days called me to tell me that a room had become available for me. I opted to return to my previous hotel and told the owner/desk clerk that I would not be staying at his facility and clearly stated that I wanted to cancel the reservation. Then I left and I never gave them my credit card! I should have also picked up the registration card that I had signed when I left.||||The next morning, to my surprise, when I checked my credit card account online, I discovered these guys had acquired my card number from Hotels.com and, without my knowledge or permission, charged $60 to my card after I had told them to cancel my reservation. I immediately called this flea bag motel and complained about what they had done and requested an immediate refund my $60. The owner laughed at me and said, "Too bad for you. Your reservations was guaranteed by Hotels.com and is nonrefundable." Then he hung up on me.||||The owners of the obviously financially distressed business lack integrity, use deceptive business practices and are not beyond...

Read moreYou know your going to receive excellent service when the front desk clerk opens the office door before you get out of your vehicle with a smile and welcomes you by name - or maybe I was just the last reservation of the day to arrive. After receiving the key to my first floor king smoking room - just as I had reserved - from the smiling clerk I followed her directions to my room and found a free parking spot right in front of my door. There was even a spare parking space right next to me for my wife to park in when she visited. Before I could open the door a fight sarted 4 doors down are so.
Great welcoming with lots of discomfort.
No face cloth
Not enough lighting so I rearranged the table to work at.
No lamps on night stand or walls next to bed. There was a ceiling light, and a ceiling light above the bed and lighted vanity. The room was spacious and clean.
Curtains were torn. backing swen in for privacy.
No trash can,
Refrigerator unpluged
No hair dryer - bring your own - as well as lotion. Bar soap andconditioning shampoo is provided.
A Face cloth that was requested from our eager to please and friendly front desk clerk did not arrive. So much for that great service I expected. The A/C knobs had been removed - I guess in an attempt to keep the guest from adjusting it. At least the room was clean and there were no holes in the wall. I woke early to prepare for my day. The refrigerator never did cool, and my hair dryed all by itself. Check out was a breeze as the key was left in the room. No need for a final trip to the office and I was off in a flash saying goodbye to the smiling night clerk as we passed. I am now 10 minutes away from Downtown Dallas with the majority of traffic heading into Dallas coming from the opposite direction. I have paid the same are close to the same room fee and received more for my money. Look...
