As nice as any hotel twice the price!!! We landed here on a Friday night in June after a couple other hotels were full, and saw good reviews on it. The reviews don't do it justice. I figured it was a run-of-the-mill partly updated, partly outdated but clean motel, but to my surprise the room (202) was entirely, top-to-bottom, updated as nicely as any $110/night hotel I've been in, the outside was freshly painted, it was as clean as any hotel at any price range, and they even had a nice basic breakfast, which I was not anticipating at a motel. It was not a hot breakfast or anything, but some nice yogurt, toast, cereal, even a necatarine, and some orange juice was great for this price range. The smoke detectors were brand new and I think interconnected... always a concern of mine in older properties as a former firefighter. The back of the hotel faces a woods that goes down to the river, my daughter had a blast catching lightning bugs... a memory that will stick way better than another random hotel pool. The motel is also located further off the highway in a residential area, which made it very quiet. I could go on. There were only a couple cars on a busy hotel night, I do really wonder how a motel like this makes a go of it with just a few guests a night... but I really hope good reviews keep pouring in and more people stay here... I love supporting owners like this that obviously really care. Thanks for a great stay, and for having proper fire safety!

Bed Bugs!! Bed Bugs!!! Bed Bugs!!! Do not stay here. The bed was filled with bugs crawling and jumping. These are pictures of some of the bugs, I also have videos of them crawling and jumping. Pay close attention to the nest of bugs attached to the headboard. Hotel management was terrible, made me pay for the 5 minutes I was in the room and would not refund my money. Do not stay here unless you like diseases and bug bites and want to support terrible management that try to take advantage of travelers.

The room was decent, fairly clean, nice tv, free WiFi. Pet friendly with $10/night fee per dog. Field behind the building was nice for them. No waffles or eggs for breakfast and fruit flies and gnats were bad in the eating area. Updated my review to 1 star. They charged an extra $20 to my card?! Room was definitely NOT worth the $99 I was charged!

VERY odd decorating. There was giant mirror opposite a wall in a space 2 feet wide (at best), the bed was uneven in the middle and I was harassed by some random construction workers who were enjoying a beer after work (it would seem). Upon passing them by, they yelled to ask if I was headed to room (insert their room number here) and when they were rebuffed, it seemed to be the end of it. But after arriving at my long-distance bfs room, we had talked for 20 min when there was a random knock at the door. Thru the door, we were told that I was lost and our visitor was willing to help me find my way (??????????) We thanked him for his concern (????) and continued our catching up. 15 min later, another knock. THIS time, the visitor id himself as part of rcpd (the county next to this junction city motel) and asked if I was alright 😒😒😒 we assured him I was fine and he finally left. There were noises throughout the rest of the visit, random kicks to the door, a single knock, muffled male yelling. Finally ready to leave, there was no one to be found and upon my leaving, the two most senior of the construction crew were STILL working on their after-work 'cocktails' and quietly watched (as creepily as possible) as I left. My driver informed me that when she arrived to pick me up, one of these 'gentlemen' approached her to ask 'what was up with (her) friend'. We finally left, and ABSOLUTELY would not return to where a group of men were able to do blatantly harass, stalk and pursue a lone woman so openly with no recourse. It was all I could do to pacify my host into not taking proactive action and exercising some good old American civil rights. Room was pretty clean but kind of run-down, there was only 3/4 of a set of towels, blankets were insufficient for their purpose and the okay-ish steak house adjacent to the motel was a 2/10 but the smell of grilled meat was INESCAPABLE. 3/5, only because a steakhouse is a steakhouse and even a crappy steak is still a steak....

So pictures should be updated. This was nothing like the pics shown on the booking sight. The bed was clean and swallow you soft. The door to the room did not seal all the way the deadbolt did not work. We put the chair in front of the door. This not a hotel it's a motel and it's surface hanging on. There was hair in the bathtub and the on the back of the toilet where the seat attached. The toilet itself sloped to the wall and is barely attached to the floor. Food down the wall all by the microwave and did I mention the hair hanging in the fridge. The pics portray locking wood flooring but it had nasty carpet in the bed area. Now let's get to there's no coffee pot and it said they offer breakfast so we thought oh good coffee boy were we wrong there's a note taped to the breakfast area door stating they no longer offer breakfast. The closest place to get coffee or food of any kind was the gas station across the hwy. There's supposed to be a wooded view but that's behind the motel and it's a bunch of fallen dead trees and a dumpster. The view we had was of the trailer park across the street and the road construction congesting that entire area of I-70. Definitely would not do again. Wasn't worth trying to...
