Wingate by wyndham — Hotel in Grant District

It smelled. Like bad. I left my blender there and when I went to get it a few days later it was apparently such a hassle for the manager on shift to retrieve it. I waited five minutes at the desk before anyone greeted me. When she did come out she was wearing headphones. I told her I left my blender and that I called this morning and the woman told me it was still here. She looked a couple minutes and came out and said I can’t find it! It was left last night? I explained no, it was left a couple nights ago. But that is was here. She then sighed heavily and rolled her eyes and walked away shaking her head. Sorry to disrupt you listening to music so you can retrieve my item? So rude and unnecessary. I also called the hotel today because I didn’t receive a receipt. And the phone is apparently off the hook or out of service because my calls aren’t going through....

Clearly, this hotel is here because of the casino. The Chester/Newell area isn't much of a tourist/business spot without it. Therefore, it is my belief this hotel should run a shuttle, at least for weekend nights. We stayed last night and used their suggested taxi service (Tri State Cab Co) and it was HORRIBLE. We waited over an hour and a half for a taxi that was supposed to take thirty minutes "tops." We also had reserved this room as a 5000 point Priority Club Points Break hotel and they tried to charge us the standard $129 price. I actually had to email them our reservation confirmation from my smart phone to prove they had it wrong (and we're platinum members!). If you're going for the casino, have a driver and bring your reservation...

This hotel was disgusting. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Soon as we got out the elevator, a huge stain on the floor, it was obvious no one knows how to clean properly because I'm an stna and we clean up blood very often. So, the stain should've been easy! I paid for this hotel because I wanted a pool. After hours, a couple was having sex in the pool. So that ruined my 2 day stay and we left early.
