Nov 2023 Stayed here again, this time in a room ground level..handicap room..had all wood floors..easy in..easy out ..nice staff..comfortable..quiet..ease of access to I-81. Love the breakfast with waffles..sausage..eggs. Nice location off of I-81...private..2 levels with elevator...if the noise of trucks on I-81 bothers you ask for a front side room..a few rooms only have showers so if need a bathtub to soak be sure to request room with tub..nice breakfast with all you need..I love making and eating waffles with syrup.. .sausage..potatoes..eggs on hot bar..yogurt..juices..cereals .muffins. real butter! Indoor pool and fitness room..upper level has a nice laundromat and ironing board..you can purchase Tide washing powder for $1.00 in the vending machine..rooms have microwave and small fridge..coffee maker..hair dryer ..great pizza place less than 1/2 mile away in Scotland...

We checked in and the first thing we noticed was the dank smell in the lobby and hall. In the room we noticed the black mold all along the edges of the tub. We asked to switch and there was none available. We asked for a refund and were told to wait for the manager the next day. Another dissatisfied customer decided not to stay so she gave us their room. She promptly asked if we had touched anything in the first room so she could resell it immediately. 😳 The second room too had mildew/mold in the tub. As I was already traveling with kids and it was late, we decided to just stay. My parents have previously stayed and my dad became very ill from the breakfast so we took a pass on that as well. Do not recommend.

It's near a McDonald's and right by a cheap (cheap for PA, 3.85 when I went) gas station. Rooms are filthy, stained, smell like mildew, but at least there's no bugs. Some staff are rude, and impatient, others are accommodating. Breakfast is hot, when I stayed they offered three kinds of cereal, toast, muffins, yogurt, eggs, sausage patties, potatoes, and waffles. There is a pool, laundry services, vending machines, elevators, and I believe 24/7 (or at least late night service) front desk. Wifi didnt work either, given the wrong password I believe. Wish budget friendly hotels were a bit more friendly to everything aside from your wallet.

We have gone to this location twice a year to visit family in town. Each time we are “welcomed” by a very hostile woman at check-in, completely unfriendly.

Last year there was a mistake on the website which booked us for what should’ve been a pet friendly room, but indeed had not. At the time of check-in, she advised us that there was nothing she would do and to go to another hotel. We had to call a family member to come retrieve our pet or we would indeed have nowhere else to stay as it was Christmas Eve. Even worse we were still charged the pet fee for those two nights and refused to be refunded.

Just recently we had a booking again, and this time, made sure the pet friendly room was indeed on the reservation by calling since the time prior had a site issue .

Upon arrival, the same lady was at check-in counter without any welcome, she was yelling at the staff to locate her vacuum. After she looked up our reservation , we were told that there would be a need for a card on person to hold $100 fee , although we had already had a card on file since we were choice members and booked the entire reservation as so.

At this time, the manager/owner had come out to counter being called by the clerk. I had asked why we would not be able to use the card that we indeed had on the reservation and on file as we have done all times prior. Without any explanation or understanding of the new policy or time to allow us to then transfer funds if needed , he told the woman to refund us in cash the money for our stay and to leave the property , with our children and pet in the vehicle from a long drive prior.

Being loyal customers, and choosing their hotel specifically as a member and for the fact they allow pets, we were left with no place to go . This was all due to the fact that they had a new policy in which I suggested they update the terms on their website, and therefore the manager choosing instead of taking our feedback on something as such to a long traveler and member , he chose to completely refuse us our reservation and stay.

Not only have I found both times completely unprofessional, but with any new terms or new policies, being something new to any guest or member , was completely unprofessional and unnecessary to then refuse service and entire stay due to suggesting that they update their policy so incoming guests would be prepared with such need in advance .

With both times within a year our reservations being managed in the way that they had, I would indeed not suggest this hotel to anyone. The customer service has been utterly terrible and frankly they have shown extreme carelessness with management, and...

My family including 7 adults and 3 children stayed at this property overnight twice, a week in part in early-mid June, during a family vacation to upstate New York.

Prior to the stay, I made our reservations with Audra and she helped me greatly. She also checked me and my family in during the first overnight stay and was friendly and efficient at checkin.

During the first overnight stay, I noticed that the sheets had a number of crumbs on one our our beds and the bathtub looked older and badly stained in our upper floor room. I called the desk and Audra said that although the housekeeper had finished for the day she would ask her to return and take care of the issues!! I greatly appreciated this! Although it was clear the housekeeper had re-cleaned the bathtub, it still didn’t look much different, which leads me to believe it was less a housekeeping and more a maintenance problem - the bathtubs are old and need replaced. My wife and son and I had a great sleep as did my other family members staying in other rooms and the breakfast in the morning was a good, complimentary hot buffet style breakfast. The breakfast attendant, who we found out was our housekeeper from the night before, was super friendly and on top of her game ensuring that the area remained cleaned and stocked up! She is a star for sure!

My wife, my son and I also had a good stay the second time our family stayed a week later. This time we stayed on the ground floor. The bathtub looked stained in this one too and reinforced my belief about the maintenance issue - please replace the bathtubs. There were no bed linen issues this time though and we had a good night’s rest. Breakfast in the morning also set us up well for the long day ahead of travel!

Another issue, that I noticed at the time, was the cracked tiles in the hotel’s only elevator. This dilapidated nature of the elevator flooring is unsafe and the tiles need replacing.

Overall, despite being slightly outdated, this hotel is worth recommending for an overnight stay. Breakfast is good, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Some elements like the bathtubs and elevator need replacing and maintenance work to be...

This review is from my stay on 8/11/17: On the surface this looks like a good hotel. Convenient area with gas and restaurants. My checkin clerk was friendly and tried to be helpful. The problem came around midnight when I went to take a shower and discovered black mold on the ceiling along with blood and dirty grime on the shower floor. I wasn't sure if the floor was just stained so I wiped it with a damp washcloth. The dried blood came off right away and the dirt started coming off. I decided to snap a few pictures of the mess before cleaning the floor completely with soap so I could shower. I reported the problem to the night shift. He offered to change my room. I had already cleaned the shower and did not want to disturb my husband, repack all my stuff, etc. so I declined and said I would talk to a manager in the morning. He did not apologize for the filth, and acted like a dirty shower was normal. The next morning, I noticed dried blood at the foot of my bedspread. It had been covered by the decorative spread that is laid across the foot of the bed. I took a picture of that too, we packed the car, and I attempted to talk to the manager about the problems. He did not apologize for the mold, blood, or dirty shower. He never once asked to see the pictures I took, which tells me he is well aware of the cleanliness issues. He insisted that I should have just changed rooms when I saw the problems and that I probably just wanted a refund the whole time. I tried to be cordial but he continued to interrupt me. It wasn't until my husband spoke up and mentioned calling the health department that he got serious about my complaints. He gave me half the cash back that I had paid at checkin. Any other reputable hotel would have apologized about the problems and given an immediate full

refund, as well as assuring me that it was an isolated incident. Not at all...
