When I looked at booking this Inn, I should have known better going by the 2 star review everywhere else. I booked with them and then 2 hours later found out that they had construction on site that they did not disclose to their customers, so I immediately canceled this booking as we were traveling with young children and just didn’t want any issues. When you cancel within 24 hours, there is no fee. Thismorning Greenfield tried to charge my card and was denied, Thankfully. First, I had already canceled 2 weeks prior and ALSO they state on their site that they do not charge your card until check-in incase you chose another payment method, that’s not true! They charge the morning before you even arrive. ||||I emailed the owner after trying multiple times to call. Stated everything above and his response was “Your reservation is still showing confirmed, so I'm not sure why you think it was cancelled ||||Minor construction on the house would not put your child in danger at all, so I'm not sure why you think that's a reason to cancel...||||However since you did not provide us with a valid credit card, I'm not able to charge you the cancellation fee, so please rest assured knowing you have screwed over a small business. ||||Thanks, and please do not book with us again”||||and then proceeded to call me a Karen and how entitled I was, which couldn’t be further from the truth. ||||Extremely unprofessional and I truly can’t even believe he would speak to someone that way. This new owner is awful, wish they never sold this Inn to him.||||Go elsewhere! Don’t even bother...
Read moreMy wife and I enjoyed our stay in May so much we're planning to return in October. The owner, Jarvis, was a great host and the property had many areas to relax and enjoy the mountain views and the historical photos and memorabilia all around. Built around 1817, they have done a great job bringing it up to date without losing its charm, meaning, it's immaculate and everything works fine! The walls are adorned with local art for sale and each room has its own name and character. We stayed in the Juliet and Romeo; the ladies are listed first on each door; a wise move.||While there's not a lot to do in Greenfield, New Hampshire, it's all within a few doors of the Inn. Mi Corazon is an excellent Mexican restaurant two doors down; great food, margaritas, and Saturday night karaoke was a blast. Harvest Market, two more doors down, has everything plus locally sourced products from produce to craft beers and specialty foods. The church from the 1700s is across the street but Sunday we stayed behind enjoying the breakfast spread and Keurig coffees.||This is a beautiful part of New Hampshire that has kept its charm. The church bell still chimes on the hour in this small town even as time itself seems...
Read moreMe and my family really enjoyed our stay at the Greenfield Inn, where we stayed for a family reunion. The thoughtfully arranged and well-kept space was the perfect setting for our group of 15.
We particularly enjoyed the loft space, which had a full kitchen and plenty of comfortable seating to kick back together. Our rooms were comfortable and we liked that they had modern conveniences like AC, TV, and a mini fridge.
There were also plenty of bonus perks, including: an amazing porch, beautiful antiques throughout the inn, the best bacon I’ve ever tasted, and genuine hospitality from Jarvis the inn keeper. Jarvis invited us to a local line-dancing get together hosted by his parents and sent us home on the last day with pickles he jarred himself.
All in all, our experience at the Greenfield Inn far surpassed our expectations, and we definitely...
