I'll start this review off by saying that this is a very beautiful area. The hotel is okay, when checking in I asked for a first floor room because I have a very heavy suitcase Pact for a week's worth of stay and they do not have elevators. I was told that there were no rooms available on the bottom floor that they were all taken. A coworker checked in 30 minutes after me and requested the same bottom floor and he got what he requested. The pillows we're very comfortable I had a nice little dining table in the room and a good size TV. I do suggest taking a fire stick or some kind of streaming device with you because the channel lineup you can't really find anything you want to watch and a lot of the channels are muted and it's not the TV it's the actual cable company that they use. If you're counting on breakfast I suggest going out to buy your own or grab a yogurt and banana, apple or orange whichever they put out for the day. I did not grab the bananas for a few of the days because they were black and bruised. They have a waffle maker, very greasy burnt patty sausage, very rock hard biscuits and powdered eggs not scrambled they make them into little round patties I guess so that you can make a sausage and egg biscuit. I set booby traps in my room to check to make sure that made service has not gone in why I'm at work because I've had issues in the past with things coming up missing. After noticing that maid service had went in my room with the do not disturb sign on the door and telling the front desk that I do not want maid service going in my room why I'm not there when i first checked in, they went in anyway but I'm not really sure why because the trash wasn't taken out, no fresh towels were left and the bed wasn't made. I set up my nanny cam that I do travel with if I suspect that anyone is going in my room and in the footage for Tuesday while I was at work maid service did go in my room but the only thing they were interested in was going through my suitcase but they did not take anything. Since nothing was taken I did not say anything to management and left my camera rolling the next few days to which they did return they went through my suitcase again and for a little bit laid on my bed and watched TV. So for an honesty test I purposely left batteries (2 purple batteries in a clear case) sitting on the bedside table in front of the alarm clock. I did not get a phone call all day why I was at work or night while I was traveling back to North Carolina to my home and this morning I called in and spoke to a lady on the phone. She took more than 5 minutes repeating the information I gave her. I told her my name was Jessica Bright I was in room 205 from Sunday night until Friday morning when I checked out. She kept going through her system saying that I was not in the room which I was and all I wanted to know from her was if maid service, when they cleaned the room, had turned in 2 purple batteries in a clear case. After 5 minutes or so trying to explain what I needed and all she wanted to do was tell me that I wasn't checked in she realized what I was saying to her that I was in the room from Sunday until Friday and checked out Friday morning and this whole time I only wanted to know if maid service had turned in the batteries to which at the end of the call she didn't go and ask anyone she just said no they were not found. I do this honesty check for my reviews because I am in a diffrent hotel every week ( most quality inns ) and a lot of them do pass, this one however failed. So the only thing that I can say is that if you're going to be staying at this hotel don't take anything valuable into the room because if it comes up missing or you do leave something they are not going to be honest and they are going to keep your property. I will be filing a complaint later today about the situation because the batteries though about 6 months old and no longer, are very expensive for my vapor mod and I think that their corporate and management should know about...
Read moreMy husband and I were planning a two night stay while traveling through Georgia.|We arrived and opened the door to our room and we were overwhelmed by a sickening sweet smell and the floors were all wet and sticky. We had to open the windows, which only opened a quarter of the way and keep the door open but we never did get rid of the smell.|That was the best part of the stay. It says there is|wi-fi but does not connect in the rooms. Only in the lobby. Management insisted it worked so we asked the man to come to the room and we tried connecting, which it didn’t and he said he couldn’t help. He gave us the customer service number and said to call. All night long people coming and going, tooting their horns, a dog was barking. You could hear people hooting and hollering, car stereos blasting. It would quiet down for a short while but then would start up all over again. This went on all night long. We were pretty much awake all night. It was a disaster and have never had that experience in a hotel/motel our entire life. The next morning went to management and complained and asked to cancel the second night. The office would not cancel as there was a two day prior cancellation policy. In view of the circumstances we thought they might do us a courtesy. Absolutely would not and blamed the problems on kids at the fast food Waffle House below by the road. Sorry to say that was a blatant lie. Anyone could tell what was going on six feet from your door. We don’t generally write reviews but felt this one had to be written to give other travelers a heads up. We’re planning on avoiding this chain...
Read more1st I want to say the Owner was nice when I checked in, the housekeeping and maintenance is above and beyond amazing. However, there is a long term guest/tenet living here that is evidently friends with the staff. On Monday July 8th 2024 at 1130pm I called the front desk to report to much noise! The guest was outside talking to the night clerk through the little window basically preaching a sermon this went on until a lil after midnight. The clerk refused to make the guest be quiet or move her into the lobby even though I could hear and recorded the conversation two doors away from the front desk. I went to the window with my friend and the guest got completely rude! I called the police, they never showed up! I told the front desk manager who is the guest/tenets friend as the tenet hung around with her basically all day. They were even driving the same car! She proceeded to defend them for the noise, said they were discussing towels, leaving early, and etc. Again I have the conversation recorded, it was just a bs conversation not discussing anything that was even said about towels or anything. What i have recorded is basically the guest/ tenet preaching a sermon, talikng about someone choking her and her 5 kids coming to defend her, she also mentioned over dosing and almost dying from it and her BP skyrocketing due to the overdose! If you want rest, and dont want to stay where people our living in hotels avoid this place! Hotels are meant to be quiet after 10pm to avoid disturbing...
